Or dentist gas. :lol

Moderators,

Hopefully my 229.7 mph run at the recent Mojave Magnum event will qualify me for the GT 200 MPH Club. I must thank Skyrex for the opportunity to drive his spectacular Twin Turbo GT.

Good Morning,

Please move Summer (Mrs. Skyrex) up the list in the standing mile to 219.2 and in the 1.5 mile to 227.5mph.

I just improved in the mile to 225.0. Guess I will have to wait until more extended runs in the fall to move up the overall list. :wink :cheers

Nice work!

Good going, Tom!!!

(I see you made Summer run when the temp was warmer - otherwise she may have got you!)

I am VERY confident that is going to happen for you this fall!!!

Nice work!

I just wish work was always as much fun as this.

Good going, Tom!!!

She is great at whatever she does so it is inevitable that the longer we do this she will beat me eventually. She has a competitive streak in her. My ego can handle it........I think. :lol She did beat me by .1mph in our DB9. :cheers

So when is the FALL event happening ????

It seems almost all the records are at Mojave or Texas Mile. Anyone run at Bonneville Salt Flats? I've always wanted to do that. Are there special safety equipment requirements or qualifying requirements?

Salt not good for the metal work!

I think DBK and Camilo were on the salt with their FGTs but didn't run on the surface.

Don't post much as it has been a crazy year personally and with our business but we did a little more driving this past weekend. :wink The weather was really cool, which was good and bad. Good for power but bad in that the car hit overboost in the setting that we normally run at on hotter days so we had to dial things back a bit. Despite that Summer and I both set new personal bests. She did 231.5MPH and I did 236.0MPH!! Man I love that car. We did 18 runs all in the 230's so a very fun day of speed. I know that 240 is still lurking out there....just need the right conditions. Couple that with my car being in the September issue of Hot Rod Magazine with a small cover photo, multiple pics in the magazine of the car and a full page article....well lets just say it was a great car year!! Can't wait for next year to do it again. Time to shuffle our names up that list!! :cheers

What mods do you have, GTED?

Ed

Gen 2 Whipple, cat-back exhaust from Accufab, Accufab intake sleeve, Hoosier R6s, 100 octane tune from Shadowman. Right before lunch my fastest was 214.0, then after lunch, I did 3 runs before I called it a day and I ran 215.6; 215.2; and then 215.4. Total I did 12 runs on Saturday. My highest at the one mile mark was 199.3.

C'mon Ed, time to consider a whipple....

LOL, Ed. You sound like Clinton. He's determined to get me to slap on a Whipple:) Unless I can afford another GT, it's just not going to happen. And if I could get a second, I'd bypass the Whipple and get a TT:)

Man, I need to run this in the Spring. Should be able to break 200 in the Magnum.
