Count the wife and I in for the R8. We're up for driving, trailering or shipping. We've been to many of the Viper Club VOI rallys, but this will be our first Ford GT rally. About how many cars show up for these? Is there a host hotel designated and do we make all our own arrangements?

Dolph

2 days until the Texas Mile

See you at The Mile Dolph - I am in a Silver Ford F350 w/ Silver trailer and Silver No Stripe Ford GT

Chip -

Is it OK if I don't make the Rally-to-the-Rally this year?

It just doesn't seem logical to drive to Arizona and then back home....

Ralphie

We are looking forward to meeting you mrscape! There will be cool things for wives to do also if they are not sitting in the passenger seat looking at the scenery. Dr Frank will be buying you a drink since it's your first rally!

Will be in the area the weekend before with the So California MINI Maniacs....... Guess I could ship the car up from LA??? hee hee. I don't know, that is a lot of miles on the GT. Last year put on 175 total. May have to consult Ralphie on what to do? :driving: May also need to get Dr Frank's Red GT input?

Thunderhill was the track where the 2004 Super Bowl add was made titles "The One".......... I guess if you have OEM exhaust, it would be fun to run it knowing your in "The ONE"!!!!

I'll never get enough of watching that Super Bowl Ad - :thumbsup :thumbsup

Eric -

I could fly down and drive your car up there - then fly to Mammoth and get my car. If you didn't want to drive it home, I could reverse the process - that way you could enjoy a full rally! After all, by that time, I'll be fully retired (with Michelin Pilot Sport Cups!)

Ralphie et Monsieur Ard,

Unfortunato, I have this terminal condition called a "JOB"! September is laced with several long travel commitments, in addition to the fact that leaving for essentially t he entire month is frowned upon by Big Brother. Remember only 3 people are currently working for every retiree, and by 2020, it will be 2 / retiree. So if I don't work, I can't contribute to your f...... retirement checks!

I don't get a retirement check and probably never will, so it is OK with me if you decide to take some more time off.

Dr. Frank says he doesn't care if another non-Red GT shows up, but we would miss your company, so try to work in a day or so. Some of us will be coming in early. Slowly working on plans now, as I also have a real job. Thank God the money I make in Illinois doesn't supprt Californians.
