Just Pm'd Dbk

Just pm'd dbk, and thought I would share my thoughts that I had expressed with him. It is amazing in less than 3 years!!!! how this small group of car guys/girls ect. has turned into one of the best damn , fun groups in the world. Less than 3 years and an event each year , bigger and better than the last!:thumbsup. When the details come out ,on vegas lets make this one the ultimate. DBK says 150/175 LETS MAKE IT HAPPEN , WHO KNOWS EVEN MORE.. SHELBY, GT GUYS WHO MOVED THAT WAY . It can happen and most definitely will:thumbsup. Anything to make this another once in a lifetime event. LETS ROLL, AND THANK YOU DBK, Its a fun ride. ps. you too bony, hey is awsum coming to play too......:biggrin gtjoey 1314 and always loving it!!!!!:thumbsup

Basically hit I-40 ~ 5 miles and two turn from my house then straight for 2,400 miles to Vegas!

I you are driving round trip, make sure your tires have enough tread left and are they not race tires. Even brand new Hoosiers wouldn't make the 4800+ miles.

DBK,
If we make it Sept. perhaps it could be dovetailed with the
Silver State Classic Challenge
SEPTEMBER 18-21, 2008
Nevada Highway 318

Gt's can be teched out as high as 165mph in the 150 class with just a 5 - 6 pt harness, fire ext and proper dirver safety eq.

It would be great to scores of GTs in competition. We might even be able to get a discount on the entry fee.

I posted about this too, but thanks for the tech information. It is good to know the GTs are good for the 150 class with only a harness.

There had been a lot of discussion about moving Rally III eastward after doing Newport Beach in 07. While I agree with this sentiment, given the unique opportunity available I think it is a no brainer

No brainer is right!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm in:cheers

DBK looking forward to seeing you for the big 85th BD. As always, I'm there if you need me:thumbsup

Rally III - count Ed in!

DBK - Add me to the list as I will be there. Black Ice & I will probably caravan down. Will the GT Guys be there? Most likely I presume! An open track day sounds great. Sign me up.

Frank even you couldn't get lost.

I got almost an identifical route via map quest (not quite as far as I am more west of you, 2227 miles). Mad, it looks like I may have at least 1 if not 2 passengers, one of whom will likely have a GT40 replica. The wife will likely fly out to Vegas (no desire for the drive).

Bullitt, that's what I'm thinking if I don't trailer the car.

Anybody can come without their car.

TRAILER???? How many times have you called Spirit and me the p word for even considering trailering? I guess drive when it is close huh? Expect a strip search by Texas finest at the border on IH 40.

Me too. Detroit to Newport in an F-150 towing a trailer and GT in under 40 hours. Vegas will be a piece of cake. :biggrin

You're right! I'll try to bring the whole family and as many GT's as I can.

Dave, FYI, I installed a supercharger on my 2005 F150 about 1 year ago. Can not be more pleased with the performance when towing cars and or horses. Just unbelievable torque and ride. Makes the F150 a towing machine. Also added a pneumatic ride height adjuster on the rear end which is adjustable from the driver seat for even a better ride.
