Martin Bartek - 1967-2011 - RIP


A truly great loss - a honest man I could call "friend." I will miss his smiling positive attitude and dedication to the racing world. May he rest in peace.
 
I am shocked, sadden and in disbelief. I have been corresponding with Martin. I had written him less than a week ago ... I am Very, very, sad at this moment ,,,, God Speed Martin. Your passion will not be forgotten . May your family find peace at this time..

Wow:( RIP It just goes to show that we all should cherish, live everyday like its our last, enjoy what you do and spend as much time with family and friends as you can. Cause you never know when your day is coming. Way to young to leave us...... God Speed and God bless his family in this time of mourning.
 
Very, very sad news indeed. Martin was - as many have already said - very accessible, had a huge passion for our cars and will be missed by all. My sympathies and condolences to his family. If the fourm send flowers or makes any other gesture, please count me in.

Very sad news, My condolences to his family. He was a fine gentleman. I am glad we all had the honor to meet him at the rally.

I am having a tough time believing this. After spending a week with Martin at LeMans with many other GTForum Members and then again several days with he and his team at VIR last September....and only 44 years old ? Why, How,,, Life is never long enough.

Yeah this totally bummed me out earlier RIP Martin !
 
He made us all feel like his family at LeMans. A gracious host and sincere gentleman.
He was such a proud Father and I can't stop thinking of his kids growing up without their Dad.

Met him for the first time at VIR...and he treated me like an old friend. This is shocking news. Please fill in on the details when appropriate. Godspeed, Martin.....
