GT Track Day at Sebring Int'l Raceway


I'm in for the event Monday. and want a hotel room for Saturday and Sunday nights. Bringing a passenger, my 16 y.o. son. I have no track experience or equiptment, but would like to run my new GT. PM me if you need credit card or check confirmation. Sounds like a great weekend!!

Count me in with my super fast Heritage.
Guess I'll need a room for both nights, two rooms or a suite would be best since I'll have my wife and baby plus a nanny. ( I want the best room I can get) Connecting rooms would be even better, a suite plus a room would be best, then we can have a party :biggrin
I expect my wife and I will both drive the car on the track if that changes prices.

I'll need transport for my GT, that C5 sounds great :biggrin Else we can see what transport arrangements can be made. Or I could just buy that trailer I want. :thumbsup

I'd certainly be interested in have the GT guys there to do some stuff.

Chris, what's the word on wheels, I'd like an extra set of wheels and tires.
 
You're on Brian! :thumbsup It will be a few hundred to add an extra driver, but not too much. The extra money is for taking the driver's class & getting in car instructor training, etc! I'll talk to the guy Tuesday & get the exact amts figured out. When you go on line to register next week, it will list the price for extra drivers, passengers, & spectators (lunch costs, etc).

I called the Chateau Elan this afternoon & asked them to block the rest of the rooms they have. They don't have any suites there. However, because of the low # of rooms available at that hotel & several others (because of the Aviation Expo that weekend), I'll most likely have a block of rooms reserved at at least 2 hotels. Not enough rooms at either of the places I've called to accommodate everyone in one place, especially as we get more people, but I'll make sure to get you some options next week, will do my best to make sure the 2nd ones has nice big suites! PARTY!!!!!! :party :club :party

IMPORTANT FOR THOSE OF YOU READING THIS!!! IF YOU'RE CONSIDERING COMING DOWN (AND YOU AREN'T GOING TO WANT TO MISS THIS!!!) MAKE SURE TO GET YOURSELVES REGISTERED ASAP!!!! Brian, see Albafaz' post about transport. He can fit EIGHT GTs in his trailer to take to the track! If you're in his area, I'd suggest sending him a PM.

I'm going to see if I can swindle the old man into taking a weekend off to come down with me. After the "2006 National 32mph Freeway Rally" I need some track time. :lol

*edit* Just have to make sure this won't conflict with the NAIAS Charity Preview or any of that weeks bonanza...

Good idea Dave!! The "confirmed" guys are on a list at the office. Leaving for Atlanta in a few hrs, but when I get back Sunday morning, I'll have a list posted w/prices & put it all in the 1st post!! :thumbsup
 
Cool. I think people are more apt to come when they see the list as well. The more the merrier, as they say. Of course, anywhere Chris, Manny, and Brian are, count me in. Who's bringing the avocados?

That's right gtjoey! GREAT NEWS!!! :biggrin Spent 20 minutes today talking with Dennis from The GT Guys & I can tell you this! ALL OF YOU GUYS LUCKY ENOUGH TO GO TO THIS EVENT ARE GOING TO HAVE EVERYTHING AT YOUR FINGERTIPS! :thumbsup The GT Guys (both Dennis & Rich) met a lot of you at the rally & did many mods to people's cars while there. Everyone I've talked to have been more that satisfied w/the results!

Just for us, they will be flying down to FL from MI & will be at Sebring ALL WEEKEND & MONDAY AT THE TRACK to make sure that EVERYONE is able to get whatever they want or need done to their cars...and, they will install everything for you before you hit the track! THIS IS A ONCE IN A LIFETIME OPPORTUNITY!!! They can improve your cars performance in so many ways!!! Better handling, more hp, faster cornering, more speed... They've got Hoosier racing tires, pulleys & exhausts, transaxle coolers, 5 point harnesses, will do a racing alignment to your car, & much more! :banana

These guys have more GT experience than ANYONE, especially when it comes to taking the cars on the track!! They know every part of the GT intimately & have been working on them since the prototypes came out in 2001!! They were the ones who did all the durability & track work/adjustments during the testing phases. They also worked at Wixom when the first 1000 were being built to do detailing & finishing work on the cars. Any problems while you're out there?? THESE GUYS WILL BE THERE TO TAKE CARE OF IT FOR YOU!!!

For your convenience, they'll be getting in touch with each person that registers, so that if there's anything that you want, they'll have it waiting for you ready to install when you get there! This would also be a great time to talk to them about any problems or concerns you have w/your car as they'll be around all weekend to take a look at it for you before you go on the track.

If the GT guys are coming I am going to have to bring two cars, my GT and the Lotus Cup car. If Abolfaz has an eight car rig that should provide a solution.
 
I'd like to get on Abolfaz's rig as well.

With so many South Florida owners planning to attend, and many wanting the GT guys to do work, let's ask them to come a few days early, directly to our area and do the work a few days before the event.

We need a name for this event! How about The 24 GT's of Sebring?

Charity Preview is January 12th. I'll be there 13th. Need hotel 13,14,15.
 
When do we have to commit? I'd love to come if you guys would promise not to run over a novice with no track experience! I just need to know a "point of no return" date so I don't screw up your plans if I can't make it. I would of course expect to have to pay in full if I canceled after this date.

I thought Harleys were a lifestyle but you guys are building quite a lifestyle around this car. Great work! :cheers
 
Sebring

Don't miss this opportunity to drive on the Sebring track. I have run in the Panoz GT series on this track and it is awesome. Sebring has a couple of long straights and favors high horsepower cars. There are some great technically challenging sections with good run off areas so you won't dent your car when you boo-boo. While it is a tad rough in spots, overall it is a great track. Historical significance as well.

Not many places better to be in January than Florida! :banana

I'd love to come, but can't. :frown We'll just be getting back from a cruise (Delbert's McClinton's Blues Cruise) and docking in Ft. Lauderdale Sunday morning. May drive home via Sebring just to check things out. How late will you run Sunday?
