I hope to have photos of the silver one very soon. A big thanks to Shadowman for hand holding me through the long process.

As I have posted before, "A man's gotta know his limitations."

Unfortunately, I over reached on this one and my burnt fingers, scratched forearms, cut shins, etc. is proof. Next time I even think about doing so much to the car, I will be smarter and write a check to DA!

Kip's 2din with Z3, bluetooth, backup camera, ipod interface.
Kip's cubby with dual power ports.
Shadowman Sub relocation box using Z3 to power it (no Mac amp)
Homelink mirror with temperature and compass.
Shadowman dome light with custom headliner on/off switch.
Dual wideband sensors, Freeflyer's a/f gauge.
MAP sensor for SCT dataloggin
DA Traction Control system.

I need a vacation. Somehow I don't think Rally IV will be all rest and relaxation.

Thank you BlackIce for the kind words

It has remained my pleasure to work with you throughout the various stages of your project; you have done a great job of completing a huge task.

Here is a sneak preview as final details not associated with the DD integration are being completed by BackIce at this time; in fact at this very hour so as to insure that when the shipper arrives she is ready.

I should start on mine maybe this weekend. I am doing some preliminary measurements on which unit I want to install. I have a new Kenwood 8120 and a Pioneer AVIC Z3. I am leaning towards the Kenwood. :confused

Shadowman,
Does the unit sit flush to the front or does it protrude out some?

Hi John

As you can see in the picture; the upper is as if OEM and then below the unit the console resides as if OEM however between these two poiints the unit is extended and angled for proper viewing and use.

In place it looks wonderful.

Sorry Shadowman, I really meant the Pioneer in the new double din. I know the tongue depressor is used for clearance at the bottom, but does the face of the Pioneer unit sit flush with the double din face lip.

Thanks,
John

We did the install on my car and everything worked out perfect. We did the Sat radio, reverse camera and the new latest pioneer double din. Its a VERY nice fit!
