Bumper Delete Exhaust Options..Show us your rear


This was quite a popular item, and he sold several while we were in Indy. The seller owns his own GT (the tungsten, I believe) and has done a few of the Detroit area cars. IMO it looks a little more finished than the GTGuys. The PIA is getting the panel painted and the stripe to match.

I have a photo of the other side of the brochure but the GTForum site won't let me download it as I get a message saying I'm out of memory, whatever that is??? :confused

I need to call George back again today, as we both forgot to unload the tips from his car and put into my car! I need him to ship them out ASAP.

I'm going to go with the Classic Design Concepts bumper delete kit. I'm going to keep the current tips on my Ida exhaust or shorten them some.
 
I went with THE GT GUYS because it appears to allow better air flow. I am concerned about heat sink and will do what I can to allow the best possible air flow.
 
I went with The GT Guys because it appears as OEM and gives the gal more of a race car look from days gone past and yet in the end differences between the gals is what makes your gal yours.

Maybe I am too cheap, but this sure sounds high ($3,800) for what it is. I just ordered a parking lift for my neighbor and it will be $2400 installed. weighs a ton and takes a full truck to deliver, way more to it than this stuff.
 
Frugal maybe but not cheap as you have a GT in the garage when it could have been a Yugo

I just had my rear bumper deleted at Genaddi. They have a powder coated chrome molly inner bumper for rear-end protection. I had the tips installed as far in as possible and it looks unbelievable! Their wide tips give it "the" look. I will have photos today of the GTX-1 conversion and I'll include s couple of good exhaust shots.

Both the GTs guys and the Classic kits looks much better than stock IMO. The Gt Guys approach seams more fitting for the race theme and air flow. I really like the Vintage look of the header pipes coming off Bony and Shadowman cars.

I guess the big cost is the extra set of bumper extensions that comes with the kit. They must be getting them from Ford and cutting them down to fit. That alone will add about $2-2.5k to the parts cost. I was surprised when my dealer said the extensions listed for $1,258 each:ack . Make you wonder how Ford could lose money. He also quoted me $52 for an air filter for my company car, Autozone had it for $11. Also makes you wonder about how they source their parts. I had a GD guy ask me for a quote on time on a custom cover for a big gun they use on a ship. I thought I was high when I came in at $895 they gave us a pattern, we were making about 30%. They ordered 9. When I asked what they were paying before, he says about more than the 9 you sold me.
 
gennadi's kit has the inner protection that could save your ass in a small hit and keep things off the suspension. But the GTguys probably flows better.

all in all I think the first is a better value on price ... but then beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Also to simply remove the bumper is only four bolts. then its nothing but screening.
