Don't plan on driving it too fast on the public roads. Just what people need a car that you have to re-flash to enjoy, unless you are EP.




How smart is this car? On public roads the top speed is a mere 112 mph. It will go its top speed of 196 only when the navigation system informs the car that it is on a Nissan-approved racetrack. For those who fear the nanny state, Mary Poppins just flew in the window

Clearly, the Nissan GT-R is the best dual purpose (street/track) car for the money! The only cars that provide a bigger (track dedicated) bang for the buck are the stripped down Ariel Atom and Caterham!

I just bought a 2012 GTR and love it. It offers all the practicality of a large sedan, and is FAST. I got the new blue metallic color, new in 2012, and it looks great. It doesn't really draw attention like an exotic, kind of stealth. I think it is the most practical "GT" car for long trips. I've had it to meeting in large urban city with underground parking and found it easy to park, no rubbing the front splitter, etc. Very practical as an every day car.

here is a video of me passing a Heffner Twin Turbo FGT at Miller Motorsports Park last week... he was on pump gas tune about 850 rwhp at full throttle... had a big head start but was drifting to the left so you can see when I finally committed to the overtake when the video panned to the right... he told me he went to the center of the track because he never dreamed a little GTR would be able to keep up :banana

Ended up hitting 178 MPH on the straight :cheers

I have a stock 2010...

Here is a story... this weekend my wife and I were driving to c and c. I am in the gt and she is in the gtr. My gt has pulley, tune, gt guys exhaust, acufab throttle body and bridgestones... We pull up to a light and my wife (who you will now understand why I ve married her) rolls down the window and says lets go... The gtr was two car lengths ahead of me easy until I got to 100mph which is when i started to make up distance and then she and I both slowed down. It ruined my day quite honestly. When we got to c and c I will say I dont think there many people around the gtr... there were tons around the gt..... That kind of made me feel better.

You're lucky. You can go racing with your wife and don't need to make up excuses to do so. Great.

The GTR is so discrete and I wonder how such a P800 is. I think it's a beast and a nice toy to play with.
