2006 Tungsten Ford GT - modifying

I like those fasteners and Trent, that looks like a mini FGT paperweight.

GTJoey had these pins made up a while ago - very cool. Here is a close up.

I had a set of exhaust tips fabricated with the 5" tips but I was unhappy with the results. So I purchased another set of 5" tips + a set of 6" tips. Below are the 5" tips next to the 6" ones.

I will install the bumper to see which size will look the best. Man are those 6" tips BIG!

It's funny how project Snow Ball...I thought to myself, well since I have removed the valve covers and supercharger I might as well remove the oil, radiator and supercharger reservoirs. My plan is to have them painted a flashier color. Not sure what the color will be?

Here are pics of the oil, radiator and supercharger reservoirs plus the brackets that mount to the oil reservoir.

that reminds me of the time when I woke up one tuesday morning(I had the day off from work) went in the garage and popped open the hood on my boss 302 the previous owner let the battery acid drip down the side and spill onto the batter holder tray so I told my self I'll get the battery out take the tray out of the car to have it powder coated, it took only 15 minutes to do that, then I thought while Im here I might as well take the battery tray bracket off too to get poweder coated, then when that was done a few minutes later, I thought well maybe I should take the air cleaner cover off too to get a custom color powder coated so it would look unique, so I did that, then I thought since Im going to the powder coat I might as well take the valve covers off too and get them coated as well, .................. four hours later the engine bay was down to the long block, I had taken off all of the accessories, all of the brackets for the accesories, hoses, the carb, intake, exhaust, mounting brackets for the horn and alike basically everything :biggrin

I wonder if surgeons ever have days like that? :biggrin

I was going to comment, that shouldn't this "snow ball" get started at the begining of winter not going into the driving season? :biggrin

You hit the nail right on the head! :confused Back to the wrenchin I go... :ack :biggrin

Neilda, surgeons rarely have days like that. When they start on a case, if things look much different on close inspection, they will usually ask for a pathology consult and do what's called a frozen section (tissue frozen, cut and stained) giving an answer in 98% of cases in about 10 minutes. This usually determines if they proceed and how much to remove. Snowball effect is particularly disturbing in neurosurgery.

Don't surgeons use the motto, "when in doubt, cut it out?"

Not where there are malpractice attorneys.

I recently just decided to replace the majority of the engine hoses with steel braided lines. I'm still checking into how this can be done.

So I thought to myself...since I am this far into the engine I might as well remove the intake manifold to get a better look. :biggrin

Again I thought to myself...hey, why not get the intake manifold polished and install methanol injection. So that is where I am headed. :banana

:pop:pop:pop

what kind of gasket is in between the intercooler and the heads? is it hard to remove?

Ahhh, back to the methanol! My car is still making it's way back from Florida. It's still 2 vendors away before my methanol goes in. Should be a cool summer for us! :thumbsup
