Planet Ford outside of Houston asked me to post a note that they have a 2006 Yellow GT for sale at a good price (probably under MSRP). I think it has stripes. While visiting Saleen, they printed me a build sheet by color and yellow is the most rare, as we saw this past week with only one yellow car out of the 80 or so cars at the rally. If you or anyone else is interested, call Randy Pope at 713-504-9064. Mention my name (Tim Cantwell) and make him an offer, he will likely get a deal approved quickly at a good price.

Yellow

and yellow with no stripes of either the side or top variety likely being the rarest of all combinations (I am aware of only 3).

There were two for the WHQ photo.

Nothing wrong with yellow if that's your color. It's the rarest since most of us prefer the other colors but I wouldn't mind have a second or third GT in yellow. The design is so awesome that the GT looks fabulous in any color. After visiting Wixom I am jealous of the two forum owner's who own one in each color. Now who is going to step to the plate and get one in each color with and without stripes? :cheers

The second yellow GT at the photo shoot belonged to Ford Motor Company and was driven that day by one of the FMC employees that was part of the GT build team. Only one yellow GT attended the rally with it's owner.

Yellow was my first choice, but the wife liked the heritage and once she authorized a purchase, I RAN to the dealer.

Bill Ford sent a friend of his in Germany a Yellow GT in the "sans" stripes mode.
I saw it at Jones Ford in Charleston just prior to shipping last month. I bit too plain for me.

Gordo
Loving the "visually loud" Heritage. :biggrin

Whats the last 4 of the VIN and does it have a McIntosh?

Among other gems, there was a Yellow, no options car at Wixom on Saturday.
The last 3 American spec VIN's were also in a seperate section of the plant where the tour wasn't going through. Fred took us over and I snapped a few pics of them.

Of the over 100 "regular" cars on the floor Saturday, I counted 4 with a Mac delete; 2 were yellow. If you count the last 3 american VIN's, that bumps up to 7 cars.

Yellow has been proven to be the "fastest" color.

The other yellow car was the track car. Gene Martindale drove it over (the fastest man on the planet). 3 Yellow owners were registered; one brought the car...

I have a '05 yellow no stripes and side stripe delete (#1245). Would be interested in hearing from anyone else with the same. It must be the rarest combo. Any production numbers?

Sorry I could not be at the rally, but was (and still am) in the jungle of Costa Rica. Return home tomorrow and can't wait to take the GT out. Had enough of the dirt roads by 4x4.

Costa Rica???

### As you and me discussed in the past, I am only aware of 3: yours, mine and a third car that was sold in Toledo Ohio to an unknown buyer

There was a yellow car with no stripes that showed up to Crystal cove (orange county, CA) a few times as well...

I've been working my dad since I got tback to Chicago visiting him. Problem is that he likes the same color mine is. I told him there is no reason to have two of the same in the family. I'll let him know about the yellow and maybe we can borrow eachothers cars over the next 50 years. Cross your fingers for me :cheers

That's DLKGT - Dennis' car. Speaking of CC, I might be there this weekend, car now has many of the Accufab pieces (Xpipe, pulley, SCT tune, intake sleeve). And the Xpipe is an "ear" opener. So quiet at cruise, yet so thunderous under load. :thumbsup :banana

Dave, what was the final registerd car count? How many were in the shot @ ford? My pix are too obstructed by the trees.

Yellow Car Sold

My dealer contact just called to thank me. My posting lead to a quick sale of the car. So it is now spoken for. They are paying me $100 for the lead. I think I'll donate it to Dave Bannister to keep the site living!
