Took the front clip off the car today. Getting ready to put the vinyl stripe on the car. Was actually quite easy much quicker than on the old car. Called Rich up for some quick tips and off fit came.

You're a brave man Carl!
I can turn me some wrenches, but I would be worried I'd never get her back together again!

Carl.... that is awesome cant wait to see your graphics.... count the screws.... lol Congrats!!!

very cool Carl.. love seeing the cars opened up like that. I heard that changing the battery on these cars is a big task, I see now why that is.

great shop space too.

Finished the stripe around the exhaust today and pinstriping. Got the car back on the lift ready to reassemble today also. It was a fairly productive day.

So, they are kind of like Legos?

Frank asks a good question. It looks like the body panels come off fairly easily. Is this true or is there something challenging about it (e.g. special service tool, technique, etc.)?

Fairly straight forward if you have the guts. It is just layered and very sequence oriented like the other car. I will say the front inner fenders are a 100x easier on the new car than the old car though. Headliner and some of the interior has to come out in order to get the buttress' off. Buttress' and rear body panels have to come off in order to "split the car" for a engine R&I too.

Working on a Photobucket link with a lot more pics too.
