Prepping for clear bra

We had to remove the belly pans off of a new owners car so the pans can have clear bra installed. Removing the pans from the new car is a lot more involved than removing the pans from the old car (I really can’t believe I called the 05' old :frown:frown ), more time consuming and more about the stack up. I don't know how many owners are going to go this far with paint and carbon fiber protection but I believe it will be worth doing. Not only is the new car an engineering masterpiece from the outside but under the skin is even more impressive IMO. Few cell phone pics.

And while this car was here how about having the First (public) 2017 Heritage right next to the very last 2006 Heritage. We thought was very cool.

Now that is a lot of belly pans. Unreal number of screws/fasteners to remove. Love the pics. Thanks.

Gentlemen,

Yeah that looks like major work, especially covering all the rear diffuser fins.

Thanks for the great photos!

Great pics, thank you. No time for a muffler delete ? Just kidding, looking beautiful.

Thanks and great shots! Cool Heritage combo.

So how many pans drop for an oil change?

Wonder what the weight is for a full wrap including the underbody.

Wonder what the weight is for a full wrap including the underbody.

Was wondering the same--that's a LOT of plastic!

Awesome post Rich. Thanks for including all of us.

looks good Richie, you going to get precut kits for doing this also .

very cool looking forward to results and write up on a possible how to???

Great perspective on the two cars. Thanks Rich!

I asked my film guy. He says a full body clear film will weigh 5-7 lbs. He estimates the film on the under panels could be an additional 2 lbs.

rich is there a specific order to follow for removal and reinstall?

Its worth it. Great looking parts. Please share photos when the job is completed.

Cooler than cool!
