New Texas Mile record set by Mark Heidaker.

Timing slip counts, not board. Slip says 250.1 and Highdecker just said that's the official number.

Well hell, that ruins everything!

250+ is a high hurdle. Congratulations.

Is the Mullet GT running?

Chip

It had to be some type of bribe to knock .6 off the timing board! :lol

Lmr went 250.4 in the camaro and Mark and crew have the GT tuned up and ready for tomorrow..

Where is Soroush?

Ed

Great Job Guys, and good luck

Where is Soroush?

Ed

Where's Mullet?

Someone tell us what's going on at the Texas Mile with other GT's. Mark isn't the only GT there. Jason, whats going on?

I did not go this time (first one I have not attended) as I did not want to break my car after the cluster to get it together last week for the TX2K event. Also, I wanted to have it together for the April side by side airfield event (I'm an organizer of that event).

Soroush is not interested in cars right now.

I heard there was some fast runs this morning.

MarkH and Sean just set the record. 257 mph! Woot!

is this race at the same runway they used last year or the runway where all the races for many years where held prior? the first and most of the races were held in Goliad which is right close to Beeville. i though they moved the races to a runway much farther away from Goliad than Beeville?

Ray Hofman checking in from South Africa.

Gentlemen,

Although he has no Internet access as he's in Zululand, South Africa, Ray has been following Mark's runs at the Texas Mile via text messages. He asked me to relay this message.

"I know how much time, effort, money, planning, and dedication go into an effort like this. A new Texas Mile record is an amazing feat and I'll send my personal congratulations when I'm back in the U.S. Way to go Mark!! Well done!

Ray Hofman"

My congratulations as well Mark! Cheers bro.
