New Texas Mile record set by Mark Heidaker.

Wow!

I hope to see Mark and his car in Mojave.

Congrats guys. Good to see the GT still on top 5 years out of production.

Did performance make it out this time or are they still racing themselves at NASA?

Great video.

Congrats dude!

he went faster than an indy cars speed record of 256 mph at Michigan speedway :bow i see he crossed the finish line in 5th gear. looks like he has the gearing to go 350 mph in 6th gear at the Mojave 1.75 mile next month based on the rpm's he is shifting at :driving:

i think i can hit ~ 215 mph next month at the Mojave 1.75 mile with the rather stockish 751 rwhp that i have. lol, that would still be faster than Nascars record of 212.8 mph set by Bill Elliott at Talladega back in 1987 :old:

Congratulations to everyone involved.

I just found out about this as well, want to extend a big congrats to all involved!

Congratulations to you and all involved Mark

Here are a few picks from the TX Mile.... Thanks everyone for the positive comments and my appreciation for what Ray Hoffman did at the Ford GT Mile a few years back is what inspired me to do this. Ray is the one to blame for having me spend all this money to go racing. My hats off to the Hoffman Race team and all he does. What can I say, but what a hell of a car FORD built......
