Well, I finally broke down and had to ad another GT to the stable. After months and months of waiting and bugging Shelby at Elite to death about a Heritage,we finally were able to find what I was looking for and make a deal. It is a brand new still in the wrapper 15 mile Heritage with lots and lots of history. What a great car and how easy of a transaction it was to deal with Shelby.

Thanks,
Mark H.

Congrats man. So awesome. 15 mile car!!! Wow. Kinda surprised it's not still on MSO

ENVY x2! I hope to some day find a similar Heritage to add to my stable. But for now, I'm still a happy camper that I can even own one!

Congrats on a wonderful find.

Envy X3 + jealousy

Thanks for the responses. I guess I need to clarify my statement of "lots and lots of history". What I was meaning by this was the car came with the build binder from Saleen from the start of construction of the car. All the checklists along with the assembly information is with this car and all documentation is kept from the original owner. Its amazing how many checklists and people actually check and work on these cars during assembly. The big question is, would you drive it, leave it stock, or drive and modify it? I own nothing that is not modiffied!!! Tuff decision.

Thanks,
Mark H.

You bought it, so you might as well drive it here and there. I don't think it's going to make any difference 15 years from now whether a Heritage GT has 15 miles or 1500. They will always bring the money should you ever decide to sell.

I used to think that when I got to the point in my life where I could buy a Ferrari or Ford GT I'd NEVER modify it. Now I'm eating my own words. And I do firmly believe in driving my vehicles. Life's too short not to get enjoyment out of the toys we have worked so hard for!

Having said that, and assuming all continues to go well, I'd like to add 2-3 more GT's to my stable. One of them being a low-mileage Heritage. When that one arrives, it will be kept stock and will be driven very, very little.

Tough choice for sure - you can't go wrong either way.
