I've done the unthinkable

Jason & crew just do MIND BOGGLING work, as the photos in post #37 above clearly illustrates.

IMO, on one level it's an insult to refer to it as "looking factory"! :lol

I say the same about sex. Never works out that way. :lol

Yeah, me too, but I always have the best intentions.:thumbsup

Yep, I totally agree. I bought a set of wheels for a Lambo Gallardo I had a while back from him.

I took a look at that when Shelby had it for sale. I fell in love with that car at Le Mans Here is a picture i took of one the day of the race. Enjoy

Very nice. I'm pulling the engine on the Ferrari next weekend and the body goes off to be stripped and painted. This will leave me with a bay open, which always spells trouble. I need to take a few pictures of my '47 Harley Knucklehead dirt bike. I really like the pictures of your Harley.

John

Also, the blue no stripe is mine that just came in and I can highly rate it. Not a scratch and perfect. I hope I can be kept in the loop and hope you don't shun me the next time we meet.

John

Well, I bought it. We'll see what we can do with it. Should be on it's way to Sarasota early next week. Who knows? Maybe you'll want it back in 6 months? :lol

Dave

Cant wait to see the finished product!

Dave,
Fantastic, I can't wait to see what comes next. I must admit I had been having second thoughts about bringing it back, but now I will have to find something else.

John

Btw. I wonder who else has multiple car covers for different cars. I have at least 8 or 9, including a custom blue indoor cover for the GT.

Congratulations! I know you've always liked the Midnight Blue cars. And already to Jason, wow!!!

I love projects.

:thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup :cheers :banana

Dave,

I have a picture in my mind's eye of exactly what this GT will look like, paint, engine, and interior, when you are finished. Will you be keeping this car or do you have another purpose for it?

Ok, ok, I just saw the note about Sarasota. This would have been my next step. So, who knows, maybe in 6 months sounds about right.

The build begins

A pic of one of my Ferrari's getting a complete make over. I will list everything soon.

Looks to be a typical service to me

Thank you for sharing and I hope that the project is unfolding as desired.

Takes care

Thanks Shadowman. I found this when I started. The former owner was using it as a breather. It had a tube going to it. Go figure.

That IMO is disturbing

:lol Yikes!

In retrospect; at least they could have used an Agip oil container

Oh well; once you are completed with her that will no longer be needed.

Takes care

Yep, this is why I am replacing everything that moves, stops, cools, runs, and a full body strip and repaint. I am completely redoing the electricals and yes I will never get my money out of it, but this is what I love to do. I am doing a new cams, hi-comp forged pistons, port & polishing the heads, new valve springs, all bearings, crank checked and polished, new Electromotive GT system with EFI. I am manufacturing new intake system, new Larinin headers, exhaust, etc. New rotary a/c compressor and whole new distribution with servos. New upgraded brakes, every hose replaced. So, I'll be busy for awhile. When you see something like the picture you get to place where you trust nothing. Oh yeah, HID lights and more.

:lol Yikes!

Hey, so where is my former GT?

John

It's sitting in my showroom right now, but not for long....
