Just got a call from my Ford dealer. My left headlight, on backorder for more than a year under warranty, is in. Hallejua! Can't get the car there for a couple weeks, but at least it's in.

Frank, that is good news!
As you are aware a replacement headlight pod is and has been very difficult to find.
Good post!!

Yeah Ford's knocking out this current production run I got my set in last week and it sold instantly. Got more in bound for anyone with the need. Including the good doctor !

I have a set sitting at my dealer that they won't install since they read the service note about the condesation.
I took my car in in Sept. and they oredered them, but now they are here they decided it is not a warranty issue.
They were generous enough to sell them to me for $1,400.00 each but I haven't jumped on that deal.

:bored

Torrie,

Just curious, what are you selling them for?

I mean how much are you asking for them? $$$$$

$2999 shipped for the pair

I dont like driving a car with 3000 dollar headlights.

That is what EP would say, not someone that did 217 in the mile!

I thought BMW headlights were bad at $500 a piece, vs. my pickup at $40 each.

Not4N; did they not document them to be warranty? When I went in with mine they made the order before my waranty had expired and hopefully covred under the warnty. I have not yet heard from them if they got the light yet and sent the guy ane-mail

Sell both of yours then.

My dealer did document them before the warranty expired but that was done by the service writer. When the parts arrived the service Mgr felt the Ford "do not replace" bulliten took the front seat and he felt the dealer would not be compensated by Ford if he swapped them out and therefore shot it down.

Thats not cool. What was your issue with the lights? Mine have a dirty oily flilike insde both which make them look really bad in sunlight.

This summer I noticed condesation build up on the inside of the lense. Being this is a sealed unit I didn't think that should be happening, but I guess it is normal according to Ford.
I will probably put a new set on the shelf as I think moisture in the assembly would shorten the their life span - especially since mine are on all of the time with the daytime running lights. So far I haven't been able to convince a tech to toggle them off which would increase the lifespan and avoid possible cracking of the lense.

Fortunately I dont need them Yet but it is very nice to know they are available once again!

My dealer still says they dont have them and for me to stand by!!!

I have had no problems getting these in and shipping them out to forum members.
