As good as your forum name!

:lol

Florida allows that too. I bought a period correct plate and registered it for a 1964 Lincoln Continental convertible.

Would you know where I can find out more info on this for Florida? Thanks

See subsection (4):

The DMV doesn't promote this because it's a PITA for them. You need to buy an old Florida plate originally issued in the year of the car you want to register it to. There are websites that sell them. As long as the license plate number isn't already in use (highly unlikely), it's yours.

Pic request of the Lincoln please!

Sadly, car is gone, but I'll dig up some pictures.

Your garage is happy about that, as those things are friggin HUGE, I would enjoy having one of those for the 2 months of convertible weather we have in new England (well not literally but with a mid March blizzard coming, extra pessimistic today....)

I found an old picture. Car was original paint, top and interior with 57,000 miles. Believe it or not, it was considered a "downsized" luxury car when it was introduced in 1961. Elwood Engel's design masterpiece.

That is an awesome car! Not many in red. Sure might be smaller, but still huge.

Beautiful. That's the first time I have seen that design. Mine are all the generic "SunshineState" plates. Looks great.

Great choice!!
