Fubar's GT Build

The wood paneled backlight takes me back to my 1960s basement rec room.

I felt like it added a certain Jen ne sais quoi to the finished product. :bs

nice Sonic commercial reference.

A few images of the balanced cam shafts.... for picture junkies like me. I can't imagine this causing any integrity issues with the shaft.

Thanks for the cam pictures. I wondered how it was done. I don't see where that metal removal will hurt anything at all.

Mark, just make sure all machined edges have a fillet. No sharp edges.

Notice even your cam caps have a nice broken edge applied to all exterior edges.
Someone is paying attention. (MoTech or Ford)

when is this thing gonna be finished?

Fubar, What's the status of your build? We haven't heard from you in a while.

Whoa, forgot about this thread. Almost 4 years.

Only 10 months since he gave us a status report, but it has been an awfully long build.

Mark,

During your 4 year build the Ford GT has become a lot more collectible so I think you should return it to stock.

Ha, good one Chip!

Git er done!

I am reluctantly posting a few images. I really wanted to wait until I had this thing done. I know this taking forever (believe me, I know) but I am not blessed with a limitless budget and sometimes my toy project have to take a back seat to more important things. It is getting very close, I was hoping for a January completion but I think thats going to be a bit to optimistic... close tho, very close.

Some of those images are old. It's a bit further along than those pix would indicate (but not much further).

Wait a minute here, that looks like a blue car and NOT a fugitive recovery vehicle.

She is back down to her birthday suit for now. I plan on a new improved wrap after we get her rolling.

Can't wait to see it Mark!
Possibly soon.....
