Less than 60 days to go until the largest gathering of Ford GTs of all-time (at least since they were in the factory). A little bit of an apology on the vagueness of the schedule up to this point, but because of the June reveal of the race program and the necessity of not discussing it, I haven't been able to fully craft the schedule.

We've expanded the roster of special guests to include more key players from 2005/2006 Ford GT and the new 2017 Ford GT team, and will be adding even more as schedules are confirmed. Le Mans Ford GT podium finishers Dave & Andrea Robertson will now be attending. We are over the amount of cars at the previous biggest GT event ever, Ford GT National Rally 3.

Many of these people worked on both the 2005/2006 program and are hard at work on the new car.

Current Ford Motor Company

  • Raj Nair - Group Vice President, Global Product Development and Chief Technical Officer
  • Dave Pericack - Director, Ford Performance
  • Chris Svensson - Design Director, The Americas
  • Jamal Hameedi - Ford GT Program Manager (Ford Global Performance Vehicle Chief Engineer)
  • Henry Ford III - Global Marketing Manager Ford Performance

  • Kip Ewing - 2005 Ford GT Engineering Supervisor
  • Tom Teknos - 2005 Ford GT NVH Technical Specialist
  • Mark McGowan - 2005 Ford GT Vehicle Dynamics Supervisor
  • Jaime Cullen - 2005 Ford GT Steering & Brakes Development Engineer
  • John Pfeiffer - 2005 Ford GT Performance Development Engineer
  • Gene Martindale - 2005 Ford GT Performance Development Engineer
  • Steve Denby - 2005 Ford GT Marketing Coordinator

Prior Ford Motor Company

  • Neil Ressler - Ford VP of Advanced Engineering & Chief Technical Officer, Ford GT Senior Technical Advisor
  • Chris Theodore - Ford VP of Advanced Product Creation
  • Steve Saleen - Founder of Saleen & SSV
  • Fred Goodnow - Ford GT Design & Engineering Manager
  • Tom Reichenbach - Ford GT Vehicle Engineering Manager
  • Curt Hill - Ford GT Powertrain Engineering Supervisor
  • Camilo Pardo - Ford GT Chief Designer
  • Scott Ahlman - Ford GT Chassis Design/Vehicle Dynamics and Development engineer

  • Dale Gage - Ford GT Data Coordinator & Matech GT1 design team

And the list. We will put a bow on the car list at 150 because we're already at capacity for some of the events we'll be having. Hope to see you here!

Dave, I guess your comment: "We will put a bow on the car list at 150 because we're already at capacity for some of the events we'll be having." means we'll have about 300 in attendance as I assume most of those on your sign up list are bringing wives and/or a guest.

Finally, I just registered for the Rally. Since January, I have been overwhelmed, I was not even sure if I would make it to the rally as the year moved along. I sold two homes (one in Arizona, one in Florida), finished building another home in Florida, moved all my stuff from AZ to Ohio and Florida and moved into the newest home, then I moved my mother 1100 miles from Oklahoma to Ohio to a new retirement community. We also have added two new grandchildren - one born in April and another grandson as recently as this week. Additionally we have been helping care for a loved one who was diagnosed with cancer a mere three months ago who passed on to a better life just this week. It seems like life is moving at 500 MPH. With the moves out of the way, the new kids born and doing well and the family settled in, August in Detroit will be a welcome respite. Look forward to seeing all my old friends and hopefully making some new friends.

My sincere sympathies, sir.

Welcome back, Tim - nice to see your posts again!! I know you've had a lot of stress going with all of the changes in your life and those of your family.

But, it'll be great to see you at the Rally!!! Will you be bringing Garrett along?

I'll be happy to buy your first drink! :thumbsup

Meet as many people as you can.

Don't hang with any one person for too long. For example, if you hang with Ralphie for too long, you may end up sharing a hotel sofa with him.

Hey, I'm old and I can't keep up drinking with all you young folks! (But I try!)

And what's wrong with sleeping all night in the hotel lobby?

I will take you up on the drink! Kim and I will be there. Garrett may join me on Sunday, but he's a big boy working in the engineering deptartment for new product Q.A. Testing, and has to work. He may break away for at least a day during the rally to see every one. I look forward to the reunion!
