This is one of my Ecoboost customers who was at the track in Bradenton Saturday. He ran a 12.99 and a 12.94 that day and his best is 12.90. This video was his 13.00 against a 2012 Gran Sport Corvette.

Derrick Kuzak (VP Product at Ford) would be proud.

I love it!

What's mods are on that Flex?

Just remeber I was the first to run one at the track in Parump, and you guys laughed.

Pretty cool Torrie.
You are the MAN!!

Big Chuckle when we saw it. And "somehow" knew it was you! Even though it wasn't Red.

It did look a bit out of place......however it did quite well around the track.

Awww Jeff, you are being toooo nice to Dr. Frankie!
But we were still pleased to have him attend....(as always Frank)

Sorry for the delayed reply I didn't get the notifications on this.
The primary mods that make this work are my calibration, 3Bar map sensor, and a Water / Methanol system. Its all very simple actually.

hahahah thats badass :)

I thnk I am going to own a Flex someday.

Our Explorer is getting replaced with a Flex this summer. Not gonna lie, I am not a fan of the exterior of this car, but everyone I know that has one is obsessed with it, and 365 hp is a whole lot better than 260.

It looks worse than a GT-R and BMW, but holds the family plus some and goes faster than anyone would think. I dislike cars that cannot safely make a pass at highway speeds. Hows that handling in curves? Is it a boat like most boxes?

More than 365HP after Torrie gets done with it. :lol

My old man put his order in last week for a Black 2013 Ecoboost Flex. I'll hook that up as well. His current 2012 Explorer barks the tires on the 1-2 shift as it is :lol:lol:lol

The renter I had had 4WD but no ecoboost. It handled driving the mountains arond Vegas pretty well and hauled all the women in comfort.

Thanks Franks, does it come in RED?

My wife has the AWD ecoboost version for over a year, as DBK said the exterior takes some time to grow on you. The interior space though is really nice, we have the 4 buckets with refrigerator(the refer is great!) and third row bench. It's a great road trip car with tons of room and flexible seating for the kids and dog. As for driving it is actually a decent drive especially considering what it is- a people hauler. Handling is better than what I thought it would be and ride quality is is great. The thing has good power off the line and at highway speeds enough to surprise other drivers and make easy passes. We've had absolutely no problems and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking at one.

We too have an Ecoboost Flex (2012). Traded in a Land Rover for it. My wife couldn't be happier. Zero trouble. Perfect for hauling an infant around. I test drove the Explorer and Edge right before this, and once I sat in the Flex I knew it was the one. It is quite relaxing, smooth, and a very good value. It's a shame they haven't been more popular. Anyone looking at the Explorer or Expedition needs to take a hard look at this too. I really don't mind the external appearance, but certainly where it excels is on the inside - which is what really counts when you go on a family outing.

I'll be in town in a few days, if you need me to make it faster !

I'd love to, but my wife seems to think it's fast enough stock.... :bored
