Tunned by Jon Lund and MRL performance they came up with an awesome combo! This was befor 75 shot of nos. we made 1200whp and 1200 wtq with that setup! this was on shell racing unleaded 110 octane. the top run was with 21 degrees timing. and a 21lb pulley and a %10 innovators west harmonic balancer.

Can you share what the motor mods are?

Ya for sure. I don't have the build sheet in font of me though but I'll see what I can remember. The Motor is by L&m engines. He started with a fresh new block and heads and went from there. I know he bumped compression (he did not ell me how much), cnc'd the heads, Ferrea valves, ti retainers, L&M diamond pistons and a set of cams he designed for this application. and sooo much more. I'll have to wait till I get back from our one mile and one and a half mile event this weekend to share more!

Wow! VERY impressive. Because I'm a geek, I am perhaps most impressed with the second graph!! Very nice a/f ratios for that kind or power. I would love to know what fuel mods you have done to achieve this!!

Good luck with the events and be safe!

Michael, to me it looks very much like what the GT guys do...scrap the airbox and stick a few pipes with a KNN on the end. Just scrapping the airbox has got be a huge improvement over the stock intake. I'd think that's where most of the intake gains come from.

Cold Lake Alberta. About 3 hours northeast of Edmonton on a working Canadian Airbase.
www.racethebase.ca will tell the rest.

If you jump in the GT with WOT you MIGHT make it!!

Thanks for confirming what I was thinking Torrie! Done that on my racebikes...and gotten rid of turbulence, all the while dramatically increasing airflow. It made big power gains even on those things...

I was thinking the same thing, but it looked a bit different than what I had seen thus far with the exposed filters and shape of tubing etc.

Nice cold air set up. A lot like the GT Guys except someone finally used the clamshell ram air so the intake isn't solely taken from draft air. I like it, but it takes a lot of nerve to cut into the $20k clamshell. What throttle body was used?

Edit: and I also just noticed that even the clamshell internal venting is closed off. Interesting, as that was a development that kept the intake balanced in idle with varying wind conditions. Any stalling issues?

I was thinking the same thing... it also makes rain an "issue."

I just got to cold lake. I drove the it the last 150 miles to scrub the new hossiers in and get use to the power. The car runs nice. A few blasts up to 160-170 and it pulls well. As for rain I got caught in a huge storm for about 75 miles and not an issue with Idle or stalling from the rain. The only issue I'm having is the revs take some time to drop when I get off the throttle (3-5 seconds) it will stick around 1800-2200 then come Down. Doesn't matter what speed or if I'm at idle. Other then that I think it's good. We'll wait and see I guess. Oh, and I just can't believe how well this car can handle double it's original power! Still baffles me.
