I like it, although I'm disappointed to see no mention of the supercharger being upgraded to the new Eaton TVS unit in the ZR1 and CTS-V.

I like it and more power is always good.

It would be great to anounce production figures.
Might just have to put one in the wrapper and tuck it away for a rainy day.

There will definitely be less of the 2010-2011 cars than there were 07-09. I'd guess 7500ish a year. They won't be rare, but I'm thinking that they may start to limit all hi performance car quantities.

This new GT500 is MUCH better looking in person. It has absolutely killer presence on the road. Obviously problem is that it's under-tired. Otherwise, the interior is phenomenal, the car has a ton of power, it sounds bad as hell and it looks sweet. The interior font is also the Ford GT style font as is now on the side stripe. Big navigation screen is available, colored leather seat inserts, a cue ball shift knob.

All kinds of cool shit. Designed by George Saridakis who did the GR-1.

2010 year run will be a year and a half correct? may 2009-aug/sept 2010 a la the 03 mustang svt? the same build time frame as the mustang gt's.

It's growing on me. I'll wait to pass judgement when I see it in person.

Dave,

Have you heard anything about it having the TVS blower? Or is it a carryover from last year's unit?

I can't wait to see one in the flesh, so far I am really digging it. And yeah I would like to see some more detailed powertrain specs but I am sure that will roll out with NAIAS. Plus Sanjay you know we can always shoehorn a different compressor in there. That's the beauty of it sitting there right on top. Easy access !

Engine is carryover with CAI. I think there is probably differences in engine management but it's marginal stuff.

From Autoblogs write up:

New additions to the power plant include knock sensors, the aforementioned cold-air intake and a lower restriction exhaust system. The updates bump output from from 500 hp at 6,000 rpm to 540 hp at 6,200 rpm. Twisting force also goes from 480 lb-ft at 4,500 rpm to 510 lb-ft at the same peak speed

Oh my lord...when will this be available?

It will be available in the spring. Probably in consumer hands in 4 months.
