This thing is the real deal. Unreal fast, more livable than an R8, transitions like a go kart. Try 0-60 in 3.0 on the optional tires, quarter mile 10.9@135 mph, top speed 200+. This car reminds me a lot of Ford GT. It's a bit of the contrarian choice, it's fast as hell, it's not going to depreciate like a rock because they won't build 20,000.

Certainly faster and rarer than the R8. Won't depreciate like one either.
Is that what you meant by 'more liveable' ?
 
I just meant from a daily drivability standpoint. According to all the reviews, the MP4 is incredibly docile and compliant around town, and the R8 is the current standard for a livable midengine car. If it's more docile than an R8, it's not even worth comparing to Ferrari or Lambo.

A very good friend of mine in New Orleans has been on the waiting list since it was first introduced. He has already pick out the options and color. He met the guy (dealer) who is going to be the rep here in the US. He was told he was in the first 8 to get one here, so I told him to send a lot of pics. Might have to take a trip to New Orleans.

This car is nuts. I'm pretty sure that it WILL set a new standard both for daily living and all out performance in this class of cars.

I have to admit, I tried not to like this car. I may have even said that it looked like a Vector. That did not last long though as it has really grown on me, and I can not wait to see the inevitable comparison tests.
 
was told today mine should be here by Fall... here's hoping! Car looks like it is going to be incredible.

Sat on the fence with a deposit for the new lambo... debated over the 458 and finally pulled the trigger on this car... I agree with DBK it is going to be the car to beat off the show room floor and easy to mod like a GTR...

Someone we know in Houston is getting one. Can't wait to drive it.

No confirmation, but Autocar is claiming that unofficially the car has been very close to "7 minutes FLAT" around the Nurburgring. If that's true, there is positively nothing that can touch this car. I think on it's best day with a ringmeister driving you'd be very lucky to get a Ford GT to do 7:40.
 
Looks pretty amazing. Inside will likely be a tight squeeze for us tall folks. How much these bad boys listing for?
 
I think it's going to start right about $230k.
