i agree

the Ford GT went 181 mph in the mile and the 2900 lb carbon Gallardo went 158 mph :usa whatever desire i had for buying a Lambo in the future was just crushed :lol i bet the Lambo's crankshaft busted in half and split the block......

Sittin in the airport with no access to TV. My daughter called me after each round with an update. Sounds like a sound fanny whoopin was handed down. If the GT market had an index, the share price just spiked...

I think in stock form, 3rd peaks at 135 in the gt, but with all the electronic crapTHE LAMBO got to be clipped electronically, seemed that way with the aston too I was looking at. So old school in this case is just the best...REALLY FUN ,A PLEASURE TO ENJOY A HALF HOUR OF T.V. REALLY REALLY COOL.....VIVA LAS GT!!!!! GTJOEY1314:thumbsup

Wished they did a FGT vs a Murci LP640 or Lp670. That's more of an apples to apples comparision. Not a G-car..... Nonetheless, a spanking is a spanking!!! hahahahaha

Awesome! It never ceases to amaze me that even these guys, that get to drive a bunch of different special cars, just get that feeling we all know after driving a GT -especially a head to head comparison with another exotic - you can see it in their face. :thumbsup

Nicely done. Had fun watching it.

I cannot stand that piece of $hit looser Paul whatever his name is. And then to listen to his arrogance as his ass was handed to him, what a prick. Cocky SOB. Well done Ford GT. BTW, how come they did not show the raging bull piece?

Me too, truth. :rofl

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much fun!! :bow

That Lambo got SPANKED!!!!

Uh, Mr Producer... He meant 600hp to the rear wheels when he filled out the questionnaire on the GT, this is going to be a beating! And so it was, I shall never delete it. Can't stop chuckling, Custer wasn't ambushed that bad. That Lambo tuner must be pissed! And Michelin "the Lambo is running on Sport Cup tires". People watching saying damn, I ain't buying those, that Lambo is getting smoked with them! Awesome!

Great piece and great outcome. Thanks Joyride!!!!!!!

And the legend continues to grow. Definitely one of the better episodes. Me thinks they could do without some of the manufactured banter especially from Paul. Grows old hearing him threatening to punch Tanner in the mouth when he loses. Lose the bubblegum Speed Channel. Congrats on representing us well!

You can say that again. I don't think anyone takes that stuff remotely seriously, and it's not entertaining, so why bother?

Did Tanner really leave it in third for that 60-130? Sad. That would have been a MUCH bigger ass whooping using 2nd. Either way, not a surprise, Gallardos have never been that fast. Cool to see the Joyride GT whoop it's ass on national TV.

How, friggin cool is this episode...........I think more and more people are learning what we already know......THE FORD GT IS THE REAL DEAL!!!!!!

It is not even close!!!!

Exactly my sentiments!

After reading the posts here, I was especially primed to come home and watch the show.:pop

Apparently this episode was released with the same title as a previous episode with a GT500. Therefore my %^&*ing DVR did not record it because it thought it had already. NOOOOO!

:mad

Anyone got a youtube link or something like that to the episode?

Awesome episode! Nice to see the GT performance overkill margin still smokin' the newer rides. Man, that Lambo came apart in a reallly pricey way..oh well

Great show and great SHOWING for the FGT. I was sure that the Lambo would run better against the FGT. I still convinces me that for the money, a pulley and tuned GT can't be beat! I'm happy I just completed my second pulley-tune on my white car yesterday. After test driving it yesterday afternoon it amazes me how fast that inexpensive mod can make the car! Great showing Shane!

JOYRIDE. Saw the GT – Lambo shoot out on Speed Channel last night. It was great, the Lambo was no competition at all. All the hype about the lighter cat, paddle shifters, technical advancements and mods was for nothing. Tanner beat the pants off the Lambo in all three competitions and then a Speed Channel first, The Lambo engine came apart. Not just quit it dumped the oil and coolant on the ground and cratered. Tanner had surprising comments about his GT, I think he was amazed at the runaway with the superior performance of the GT. Don’t mess with good old American design and horse power.

I say it all the time to Jamal: a pulley, tune and a new set of high performance tires and a new GT would leap right back to the top of the performance food chain. I don't think there's a production car anywhere that would be close to a GT with an extra 100 hp, a set of modern tires (which are EONS better than what they were when the GT was developed a 6-7 years ago) and a revised suspension. I mean why not? Restarting the program would probably cost less than $100 million, you'd easily sell 4k over 2-3 years, and you'd whip the ass off anyone that wants to try.
