Wow, just the car for EP. He won't have to worry about registration or if the car even runs.

I think it could use Kip's new "Double DIN" to dress up the interior. Wait! I didn't see the overhead stereo until just now! =)

Needs some Hot Buttons in Orange!!

It is, what it is.

a 1/4 pound of C4 should do just fine.

That is so ugly it....
...
Ugly.
:cheers

2 lines you gotta love:

"This is a rare replica rear engine sports car that needs very little to be complete"

"Although I am very confident of cars condition, it is NOT perfect."

Incomplete and not perfect kinda go together...ya think?

Hey guys.....Halloween is coming .... yard decoration?:banana

Nardo,

You car guys know all the trick sayings! "Only driven on Sundays to church"

I think yard art is the way to go!!! I do not quite understand the drive train. Isn't the engine in BACKWARDS!!!!:lol

Larry

is this a golf cart frame up restoration?

VW based kit car from the 60's. Fibreglass was about 1/2 thick. Not sure how many kits were sold but most were never completed. Thank Goodness.

I believe that that is an original GT40 that Gurney drove in Europe the 1968-69 season. (NOT!)

As bad as the "Before" pictures are, I think they are easier to look at than the "After" pictures.

It needs wider tires for a larger contact patch.

I say we all chip in and buy it................. then we can burn it at the next rally, can anyone say bonfire!

i think we should all chip in and buy it for the roof of gtjoey's museam--lol

sam

I don't know about that Orange THING:thumbsdow, but that Blue propane powered mud machine looks like fun!!!!

John

There was a picture of it on the road.... towed? pushed? running:eek

Great comments. Very instructive.

Sold for $6,625.00

:frown Sold for $6,625.00. What a great buy!!! I am thinking the new owner may only have to invest maybe another $120.000.00 or so, and will have himself a decent looking gt40 replica that would be worth about $5,000.00.:confused Lucky Guy

I'd really like to know what possessed the guy who bought it. Seriously. What in the world COULD he have been thinking? Now, if it kudda been picked up for a couple hundred bux AND one already had enough components sitting around to cob the thing together the rest of the way and wanted to do so just for ha-ha's (mebbe for his pre-teen to putt around in on the "back 40"?)...........???

That said, some LOON paid over $10,000 :eek (on Ebay) just for some sports fan to change his "team loyalty"! I kid you not! :screwy: ('Mentioned on Leno lastnite.)
