I just picked up my GT after getting a Whipple supercharger installed at Bob Ida's shop. WOW!! I am seriously impressed. That thing is brutally fast now. It does require a very sensitive right foot, and you better make sure it's pointed where you want to go when you open it up because you will be there NOW. You really cant use full throttle in 1st and 2nd although 3rd starts to hold. I just drove it home though and didn't really get a chance to stretch it's legs yet. I previously had a Kenne Bell Blower drive with the 2 5/8 pulley and Bob Ida's exhaust and tuning. It made 629 RWHP with that package, and the difference vs stock was almost shocking. Now with the Whipple it is yet another very noticable step up again. It's kind of like Dr Jeckel and Mr Hyde. The car is very drivable using the first half of the throttle, it idles nicely and exhibits no problems at all, yet as you get into the second half of the throttle it becomes absolutely brutal. I'm accustomed to some very fast cars and the punch this thing packs is not to be taken lightly.
Bob did a bunch of mapping on his own to get the air/fuel ratio's where he liked them across the spectrum. The results are fantastic, I couldn't be more pleased so far. I can't wait to get it out for a real run!
Dyno sheet attached, the pull was in 4th gear. Unfortunately it displays wheel speed instead of RPM but you get the idea.
