What have you done with your new Ford GT?

Well finally got the car back on the ground. Stripe came out pretty good and got my Michelin S4 street tires on the car. 345 on the rear that are a quarter inch taller, so for safety with only an inch wheel travel in the rear in track mode I added 6 mil on the bump stop. This will stop the tire from hitting the aluminum mount in the top of the wheel well that holds the inner wheel well liner in place. The tire is also three quarters of an inch wider which makes it super tight on the outside edge of the wheel well but it clears. I disassembled the suspension and ran the tire through its full wheel travel and measured everything for clearance to be sure. I'm somewhat paranoid at times. The sidewall beads cover the rim up much nicer also for protection. Very pleased with the outcome. I almost forgot I took these pictures in the little town at the elementary school I attended in the sixties. Hard to believe all these years later to sit there in this car. Sometimes life seems to be a strange thing indeed as you sit and reflect upon it.
Car looks awesome Carl !! If you were like me you were probably doodling cars on your book covers in elementary school !1 :-)

Not surprised that you got best in show! But congrats!

Same place as the leaf blower. 😂

The interior looks roomy when Mollie is sitting in it

First car show just a small local mostly muscle cars and older classics. Everybody swarmed us with questions and high praise. Everyone was very positive and full of question. Awesome first time out

Did a solo afternoon run through the "Twisted Sisters" on Thursday since it was such a pretty day. Most of the time had open road, but car feels wide on the narrow twisty sections so wasn't pushing it very hard. Put 240 miles on it and now ready for my 600 mile oil change. First trip to the dealer for servicing so I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Pulled into Frio Canyon Motorcycle Stop for lunch and was the only car in a sea of motorcycles in the parking lot. I was the person wearing shorts so I stood out (white legs)!

When I pulled up several guys came up and knew all about the car. Turns out a couple are friends of texas mongrel and had meet me before at his NFGT delivery.

Put 240 miles on last Thursday and now ready for my 600 mile oil change. After the servicing my next step is to experience the launch control and maybe get it onto a closeby track.

Piece of cake to change the oil yourself, Gary, if you don’t trust the dealer

In order to honor my City and my Heritage with Ford Motor Co. we put together this “Phoenix” video. Thank you to My Friend Tony Hanley for putting this piece together for me. Sixty two years ago we were welcomed to Texas City as the City was rebuilding after the horrible event of 1947. Hope everyone enjoys this video of a remarkable comeback!

Very nice Tommy.
That was beautiful.
