The main changes were addition of white front marker lights (in housing next to fogs) addition of rear fog lamp, reassigning of reverse lamps to amber turn indicators (instead of flashing red) and subsequent addition of separate reverse light. Change fog lamp switch to both front and rear operation, delete factory alarm and replace with Cobra alarm, immobiliser and tracker. Reprogram body control module to suit revised lights etc. Swap rear muffler to one with active valves (all EU except UK) and electronic controller which used engine and vehicle speed inputs. Swap battery to Optima yellow top (due to increased load from tracker system) fit loom and charger point (using an Accumate charger) Change rear side markers from red to amber. Change speedo to one with illuminated kph scale. Add stainless steel front licence plate holder, mounted using undertray fixings (no added holes). Addition of headlamp wash system with secondary pump in existing reservoir.
All of the electrical and wiring mods had to be properly spliced and soldered and checked. Each car was driven to check for squeak and rattles.
All told it took us 6 months to get through 101 cars at the Nurburgring facility, working with a team of 4 technicians drawn from our UK workshops.
The cars then went to either the Swiss dealer (in Geneva), the German dealer (in Stuttgart) or to our UK base in Brentwood, for the handover to the lucky few customers.
