I was thinking about 325/30-19 and 255/40-18 nitto invos, is anyone using nitto tires?

Those tires only have a W rating not a (Y).

Beyond the ability of Nitto's of which I know naught, I think that while your fronts might 'only' be about 4-5% smaller than stock in diameter, your rears are likely to be about 20% smaller.......

Ok had Bridgestones mounted up today. In a short drive they seem to have more traction but could still break them loose. They are quieter and seem to throw fewer small stones against bottom of car. The tires were direct from Bridgestone. The fronts were made in 08 and the rears were 10's. On the car they really don't look wider at all, look like great fit on wheel. Keeping the stocks for emergencies and in case someone wants them in the future.

New expanded Pilot Super Sport sizes. If you are willing to get 20" rear wheels the 315/35ZR20 would fit nicely, you find matching 18 or 19" fronts.

Bridgestone RE050A Pole Position
265/35R18

Bridgestone RE050A Scuderia
345/35ZR19

Is this still the prefered choice for Stock BBS wheel street cars?
Chime in anyone as I don't want to change the wheels.

I run those on the stock BBS wheels and love them

The prices may be out of date but here is the exact order if done through Tire Rack. Note the "N1 Porsche" designation as there are slight tread pattern differences with other models (according to Tire Rack).

yep

Preferred choice still IMO.
Recieved a set of rears last week from tirebuyer.com for $727.00 total shipped to my door (bout $130 less than tirerack). They were made in July 09, but they won't guarantee a build date whereas I think the rack will, not sure though.

I'm still enjoying them and have about 35,000 miles of experience on the clock.

My fronts are the 265/ 40ZR- 18 Bridgestone Potenza RE050A NO ( Porsche ) XL.

I don't know if Tirerack guarantees the build date (Oct. 2010) but they told me what it was before I bought them.

You will need those front tires in a 40 series.

I got my car out of Tx with just over 4,000 miles on the OEM's, they were down to the wear bars. I can't say how it was driven prior to my ownership, but on the Bridgestones that I replaced them with, I have over 4,000 miles on them, and I'd say they're at about 50%.
Fast forward another 7 months, I now have just about 12,000 miles on the car (8,000 on the Bridgestones) and will be replacing the rear tires on Saturday as they're beginning to show the wear bars. I've enjoyed every mile on these tires, including a drive up to Watkins Glen, in a downpour that was monsoon like in intensity, the car handled like a champ!!!!

Ordering tires today, I have noticed some owners lower either just the front or both front and rear. are new spindles required or is it accomplished with the spring adjustment only? What about alignment specs after this change?

You will need a coil over kit. T&A’s kit is the most widely used (in fact, it’s the only one I know of). Contact Alex, the owner of T&A Racing | MR2Race here on the forum) for pricing if you want one of his coil over kits.

The Bridgestone rears are $50 more a tire than I paid last year, and from what I understand, they're going up again by $25 next week.

$366 at the tire buyer, free shipping no tax.
