While perusing through the magazines at the airport this morning, I came across the August issue of 'Heavy Hitters' magazine. In it is a 13 page article (w/plenty of pics) about 'Performance Power Racing' and his GT.

Byline:

"Already a success at home and in his business, Johnny Bohmer set out to break a landmark that even Ford Motor Company had doubted. Years later, all naysayers, internet ridicule and even Ford was put to shame when Mr. Bohmer put his foot down and set a record of 252.97 MPH in the standing mile."

:eek

put to shame... oui

Excuse me while I barf. Why oh why baby Jesus did you not lead them to a Gallardo or Supra?

By the way, Reichenbach has said for years that the GT's aero was good for at least 265, it was just a matter of pushing it there.

Heavy Hitters Magazine???

Gentlemen,

What the hell is "Heavy Hitters" magazine?? I am curious though about how one would determine that they are already "a success at home". What matrix should I use to determine if perhaps I've set a world record in "home success" as I sit on my butt here at my house? Performance Power's phenomenal business success is easier to measure as I'm able to look out over scores of Performance Power modified Ford GTs at our national events. At Rally V I expect many of our members will be sporting clothing and fashion accessories from the new Performance Power auto enthusiast motor clothing collection as shown below. There is no question that this "legend in his own mind" certainly adds a touch of color to the supercar world. :bored

Who wants to set the record straight?

I could barely handle their posts......why in the hell would I want to read 13 pages of their propaganda bull$hit!!! :thumbsdow

We need to get a magazine to the next Texas Mile to document the real fastest GT in the mile!! :thumbsup:thumbsup

.....or just have Chip or Mitty write it up and submit it freelance. I always enjoy how thorough a job they do describing cars or an event. :cheers
