Hey Guys,

If you want to see the story I wrote on The GT School it went up today. Here's the link directly to the story:
http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/Features/articleId=126383

But it's also on the Inside Line Homepage right now:

(it will probably rotate off the homepage by tomorrow or Wednesday)

Great time -- in case you didn't already figure that out. :biggrin

Nice work Karl!

Man I bet that was fun !!!!

Great article and info that leaves me wishing I had been there. Thanks for sharing. If any of the participants wants to sell the wheels/tires they used, please pm/email me. :cheers

Great event, do they have this every year or was it a one time event.

Love it. I was so bummed that I missed this event. Nice write up Karl.

This was the second time for The GT School. Professor Richard Hille organizes it with Neil Hanneman and he can let you know when the next one occurs (I think this fall). He's a member of this Forum so ask around (or maybe he'll see this thread and jump in with more details).

Definitely worth the time/money if you can spare it.

The next one is Sept. 8th. just before Rally III. I'm already signed up and looking forward to learning a great deal!

Karl,
Nice piece .
Do you know what cold/hot tire pressures you used ?

I'm not sure. There was a crew that swapped the wheels/tires for us and confirmed pressures, but I can't remember what they were.

Good stuff as always Karl!

Great article and a fantastic site. While I was deciding on getting my GT I avidly followed your long term test and the driver's log of your GT. Great source of information and I greatly appreciated it.

Also followed the long term test on the Ferrari 550 as well. Updates on that one just stopped. How did that work out? I am assuming that one ended in a sale? :cheers

Timely question. We literally just sold it a couple days ago. It didn't really get driven much by our President over the past couple years, and he recently picked up a Bentley Continental GT Speed, so it was time to say "bye" to the 550. It had 5,200 miles and he got $120K.

That car was flat-bedded three times in the first two months of ownership for various glitches that stranded him, and while I really like the 550s in terms of looks and performance the GT sure made it seem like a tempermental waste of money (course I pretty much feel that way about all Ferrari's after 13,000 miles in my GT -- and still going strong :cheers).

Takes some balls to run turn eight at 130 mph! Nice article. :thumbsup
