I know this post is at least six months premature but it can't hurt to get some thinking started about the 2011 Rally. Since we will be on the Right Coast this year, I'm assuming that the Left will be considered for '11. And, since we will have done drag racing, road tracks, and a standing mile, the members might enjoy The Silver State classic or the Bonneville 100 or a similar open road venue for still another change of pace.

Wadda'ya think?

:Silver state::cheers

Geez, those roads are way too straight.

How about Pikes Peak.

We've done Detroit, CA, Vegas, TX and now VA.....I vote for dead center USA....Kansas.

Just need a good road track we can use! :thumbsup

My vote = The Wine Country around Sonoma & Infineon Raceway (Sears Point) and lots of twisty roads.

It's a GREAT idea! Sears Point has a excellent road course and a drag strip. Now just need to convince some small airport to let us use the runway to complete the package.

Kansas City, KS has a not too bad track. Newton, Iowa has a nice newer track as well. The perfect dull places for you West coast boys.

Thats a great idea Ralphie - hit the vineyards and drive through the area, be sure to roll through Healdsburg...... I be at Viansa's awaiting your safe return

I always say ,I don't trust anyone who can only turn left ! I also don't trust anyone who can only race in a straight line for a matter of seconds!! But fast and straight for a long time .I don't know!
I do know I am pretty comfortable going left ,right.A few straights is a ok by me !!!.

I trust strait people more then crooked ones. :willy

My vote also! :banana

Ever since I spent three days on the Infineon Track with the Jim Russell school a few years back I've been dying to run the GT on it. :eek

If we go elsewhere, I would be up for trying to put together a day for running our GTs at Infineon in the near future. Russell has a program where you can bring your car on the track for a day. I think it's $950.00 and includes instruction. I know Richard runs his great two day GT schools at Willow Springs and do not mean to insinuate this is an alternative to his expertise and dedication. It's just a great track in a much better location than uptown Rosamond for those who have attended Richard's events to consider.

The little town of Sonoma is just a 15 minute drive away and a great place to stay and eat...then there are the vineyards...:biggrin
