Official October 2010 Texas Mile thread

so what your saying is that I should be in the 217.9 range? hmmm sounds familiar:lol

I dont even need to show up to the mile anymore, I will always know what my car will run as long as you are there :)

lol

I show up everytime, can't say the same about you. ;)

Hi Torkey,
Thanks, introduce yourself down at the far end. We would love to say hello. I am the old guy with the young chick...:bored I guess that could be any of us GT guys...:biggrin

Thanks Apollo for the hospitality yesterday during my visit to the Texas Mile. Enjoyed seeing your car and your runs. Will post the pictures I took for all to see. Good Luck today and be safe.

Magic

So is Ray running any of his cars? Has PP run?

Is 241 by the Lambo the fastest overall speed so far?

Rays in Spain with Matech for the GT1 Race. PP did not run yesterday. I'm sure 241 is the fastest. SW went off the runway after going 238 and word is he has hung it up for now. After the orange Gallardo cartwheeled off the end they shut it down for several hours. Sounds like they are back up and running now.

Mullet went to the line a few minutes ago. PP was shortly behind him and Apollo right after that.

Great, I am looking forward to the updates as the results come in.

i heard a black viper went 232 mph yesterday. is this true? if so that is the new record for a viper....

I think it was ART's Viper today and I heard it was 233.8

^^^^^^ i just saw on SVTperformance.com that it is the ART viper. i wonder if this is the same viper that went 222 mph last month at the Mojave mile? is it a black Gen 2 viper?

Fubar just sent me a text. Performance Power went 107 mph, but left a few pistons on the runway along the way. At least nobody got shot. :lol

what kind of winds are you guys dealing with today?

Yeppers. The last run yesterday was 232.9 so 233 was gonna happen.

I think that is a new record for a Viper.

PP ran a 130 something and blew a hose. They are fixing it now and will run tomorrow

i heard a Hayabusa went 270 mph today which is the new world record for 2 wheels and 4 :eek that is some sic ass speed for a 1/2 mile shutdown area but then a bike does have alot of aerodynamic drag to help with the braking......

lol, who needs a parachute :lol

Karma. I guess...:frown

Well, to be fair, Mr. Fubar may have gotten some incorrect information. I'm now hearing it was a blown hose. But again, at least nobody got shot. :lol

Not the same Viper as Mojave. That one was a 97 Viper run by a group called Griffith racing. It was interesting looking though.

Glad to see that the event moves on.....:cheers
