I know I am quite the Newbie ... here however I am a Porsche Guy I cant even count the number of GT3's and 911's I have had from turbos to cup cars... Typically run on the six speed site and Rennlist ... I do a lot of DE's and Instruct for almost every driver Group at VIR ... i have been doing DE's for 9 years with countless numbers of laps at VIR, watkins Glen , Mid ohio, CMP...

But I will say I bought my first Ford GT today!!!!!!!
I am really excited about it ... I know very little about them other than the Basics!!! but would love to learn more about them... i did buy the car from a guy i know who deffinitely knows something about them... this is Basically my first tru post here so give me a break and let me enjoy the excitement !!!!!!!!

I am happy about it and will post a pic or two after Christmas!!!!!

Merry Christmas to Me!!!!!!!!

Matt

Welcome, Matt!

You're gunna L-O-V-E your FGT! :thumbsup:thumbsup

(Have you put a folding chair beside it in your garage yet???! lol!)

Welcome Matt,
Nice Christmas present for yourself... congrats.
I will change your status to owner and that will allow you access to other areas of this board. Take a look around, this place is not like those other forums, we limit our warmest welcomes to fellow owners.
Cheers,
daniel

Congratulations Matt, the FGT is indeed a very special vehicle. Enjoy her !~!:cheers

Welcome Matt:cheers
You will find that your GT is going to be a great deal of pleasure as well as the fine group of members within this forum. Enjoy and congratulations:thumbsup

Congradulations!! Enjoy the heck out of it!!

...so give me a break

Uhmmm,... no break here until you post some pictures :biggrin

Nothing fish tails like the "type 901" Porsche, which of course is the "type 930" with the turbo charged engine. One of my favorite Porsche designs.

You will fall in love with the F-GT, you'll feel guilty every time you cheat on her, even when you ride a 930, just a word of caution:cheers

Matt,
I think you'll find this forum like no other - in terms of comraderie, civility, honest devoted sponsors..... I encourage you to search the plentitude of threads on most topics and become a sponsor. The best money I spent, as it's repaid in kind countlessly. Heck, I'm so GT crazy, I have two.

Matt, congrats on your FGT. I'm also a new owner and let me tell you I'm having a blast. I've also had various 911's and Viper's and for me this is the one. Its well balanced car performance, appearance, passion and hold it's resale value pretty good. Enjoy it...:cheers

Congrats on your GT purchase!!!

This is a incredible group of owners that will add to the enjoyment of your new toy. You are going to have the time of your life.......and post some pics!!!:lol :cheers

Welcome and congrats. The FGT will make your previous Porsches look silly! I have had everything from the 930 (89 G50 equipped), to the 964 Turbo S, 993 TT and 996 TT, none of them even come close to the FGT. ENJOY!

My FGT made my 996TT a daily driver. A great daily, but still, the FGT is special. Really special!! Welcome to the greatest forum on the net.

Welcome Matt !!! :thumbsup Where do you call Home ?

Welcome home. You'll quickly find out that owning a GT is a disease. What color is #2 going to be?

Sam

Matt, welcome and congratulations. :cheers

Excluding me, this forum is a resource full of good guys with solutions to any FGT situation. Sounds like you have plenty to offer as well.

Welcome

Matt -

Welcome from another track junkie and fellow GT and Porsche enthusiast too.
You'll love the GT on the track! Just don't let 'Roketman' near it - you'll need new tires in a hurry! :lol By the way - he's a Porsche guy too.

My current Porsche stable is: 1970 914-6 GT, 914-6 2.0, 1972 911R clone,
1973 RS clone, 1974 911S 3.0, 1974 Carerra Targa, 1975 Carerra track car in the making, 1987 Wide Body, 1995 993.

Roebling Road, Kershaw and VIR are my stompig grounds - hope to see you out there.

Here's me in the 914 chasing my son in our GT...
