New to me...

Welcome to the fold Matt. Lots of Porsche (ex) and track junkies here. Tell us more about your GT! :thumbsup

Matt,
As a Porsche guy since 1987 and a Porsche club racer since 1992 ,there is NOTHING that compares ,and I mean nothing !!! WELCOME TO THE MOST PASSIONATE GROUP OF CAR GUYS AND GALS YOU WILL EVER FIND .

Congratulations on the addition 930man. Hopefully it becomes an all-time favorite. :cheers

welcome Matt,

as everyone else has already mentioned Im sure your experience with your new gt will be nothing short of exhilarating, I guess the only bad thing about owning a gt is that very quickly you realize you need another one.:lol enjoy!

Lots of Luck with it Matt!:cheers

But I will say I bought my first Ford GT today!!!!!!!

What a coincidence, Matt...I just got my first Porsche last week, a 2003 Ruf 550 Rturbo. I'm doing the same thing as you...just learning more about the car, and having a damn fun time doing it.

Enjoy, and welcome to the group!

Sanjay

wow what a response!!!!!!!!! thank you all for the welcome! ... now i should get some pics... i found a FGT owner right here in town who has already contacted me!

seems like some nice folks here !

looking foward to the ownership... i have not one bad word about the FGT other than stock tires....lol or not having two of them!

Well now - you might wanna withold judgment on that awhile! :lol

MATT,
If you can handle a 930, you will have zero issues with the FGT. The tires are not an issue with the FGT, like the 930, it is the right foot... FGT is a much easier and forgiving machine.
Merry Christmas,
daniel

Welcome. Cant wait to see pics of your new baby. Hope you hang around!

ill figure it out im sure.... the 930 only pushed 450 rwhp... but the 996 GT2 was a handful at the track!

Thanks Daniel...

and Merry Christmas~!

Strong work, Matt - and good move! There are very few things that are quite like a FGT!

Matt,
Hoosiers on the GT are awesome ! I run them exclusively !
What region are you a member of in PCA ?
There are some very cool mods that can be made on your new gal .From interior to performance .

Ron,
Ok, what is with the story that goes with the new avatar...
don't tell us Rover is off Santa's good list...
we are all waiting...
Merry Christmas!

Matt -

Welcome from another track junkie and fellow GT and Porsche enthusiast too.
You'll love the GT on the track! Just don't let 'Roketman' near it - you'll need new tires in a hurry! :lol By the way - he's a Porsche guy too.

My current Porsche stable is: 1970 914-6 GT, 914-6 2.0, 1972 911R clone,
1973 RS clone, 1974 911S 3.0, 1974 Carerra Targa, 1975 Carerra track car in the making, 1987 Wide Body, 1995 993.

Roebling Road, Kershaw and VIR are my stompig grounds - hope to see you out there.

Here's me in the 914 chasing my son in our GT...

that is a great pic :thumbsup

seems like some nice folks here !

Nine Thirty Man - you got that right.

please be careful of anyone that has a lot of green dots!

Glad you got a GT added to your collection. It will quickly become your favorite. Best to consider a garage addition soon, so you'll have room for the second GT.

Welcome to The Forum
