Does anyone have those parts, or can advise a good dealer??

Thanks in advance :thumbsup

I'll try him..

Thanks

For the wheel bearings, order the assemblies from a 2003 Ford Explorer 4x4. Front and rear are the same.

You are talking about the actual internal bearing for the hubs correct ? The FGT hub itself at least in the catalogging is only sold with the bearing and is on BO with no ETA

Must say it looks to be the same from the front, but it mounts with just 3 bolts and the GT mounts with 4 bolts

Torrie,

Front and rear hub and bearing assembly are one piece units. (call out # 1104) They are directly from the Explorer.

I got a call from a manager at Ford a while back concerning the same issue. (she is a dealer liaison) Seems a dealer in Wisconsin was told the bearing and hub assembly was back ordered for at least 18 months. The dealer called her at Ford, and for what ever reason, she called me. (how did she get my number?) Anyway, I knew at least the fronts were Explorer, but was not sure about the rears. I talked to the engineer responsible for that part, and he assured me that all 4 were the same, and were Explorer pieces. (look at the front hub. it is splined for the front axles on a 4x4.

Same part, just a different price. Wonder which one costs more?

When I look up 1104 for the 03 explorer it shows the hub with a triangular 3 bolt pattern to the knuckle unlike the 4 bolt the GT. Does that need to pulled apart / pressed on ?

We must have the same parts book (mine's on line) The picture I have shows only 3 bolts also. I believe the picture is a general one, as the date on it goes back to 2000 MY.
As I don't actually have both parts in my hand to compare side by side, I have got to take Mark Magowan's :bow word for it that they are the same.

I'll try to get a hand on one.

i figured they were off another ford. Thats cool cause i need one and i just have a bunch of used ones.

I pulled up PN 4L2Z-1104-AA and that has a 3 bolt mount to the knuckle. I had one of my guys open one up for confirmation.

I did some Google searching for "Ford wheel bearing" and found something interesting..

This is a picture of my rear hub from when I did my Brembo Ceramic conversion.

Look at the pattern of the 4 holes (the bottom 2 sits closer together that the top ones)

Now look at the Ford Flex bearing assembly #09 10 11 12 Motorcraft HUB182

wow you got rear brembos and ceramics I have been arguing with them say its not available i knew i had seen it . After week they said they could do 6 piston rear but not e brake and here you have e brake you mind sharing part? or whats the kit i truly appreciate the help .

I had to modify the wheel upright hence the new caliper is side mounted and not front mounted as the original.
The E-brake is mounted with a cnc made bracket, but it's not on the car now completed. the disc is too thick for the pads to fit, and I didn't want to spend the time making a spacer for the middle of the caliper, it can be done though.

A lot of machining a welding i required to make this project happen, but the car stops on a dime now, wicked upgrade...
