Greetings everyone, my name is Mike from Denver and I am a new GT owner. I purchased a GT from Shelby Smith a few weeks ago and wanted to thank him for the time he spent with my through this transaction. I have a serious OCD problem and bugged the living chit out of Shelby throughout this deal. Thx for putting up with me Shelby :)

I've put about 200 miles on the car around Denver and what can I say. It's a spectacular car... if you like having your picture taken and being gawked at constantly lol. My "car" background is coming from diesel perf. My truck was featured in 8-Lug Diesel Truck earlier this year. Although I have sold it, I will always have a special place for hot rod diesel trucks. 700hp and 1400ft tq will open your eyes wide. On slicks it was a 11 sec truck and embarrassed more than it's share of fast cars. A few pics and vids can be seen on badassdiesel.com/

I also enjoy snowmobiling and ride my as much as I can during the winter in the Colorado high country. I have a few pics on my other site summitx.com/

I look forward to meeting some of you down the road and learning much reading this forum. My car was owned by a previous GT forum member and I hope to speak with you sometime in the future about your car. I promise it will be well cared for. I have a feeling my therapist is going to get rich helping me deal with my OCD now that I own this car :)

Here are a couple pics of the car. It's a beauty even if I am a bit biased

Save yer munny, Mike. Unless YOUR shrink is a lot 'more gooder' than mine was - you may as well just BURN the money you pay him...:bored

LOL I'm a well adjusted OCD sufferer. It's been that way since day one of my life I think. I deal with it by doing stupid chit like this. I'm an old guy too who lives beyond his means but hey you only get one go around right :)

WOW !

Stunning.

I dont think I have ever seen a no-stripe RED in photos....that is truly rare!

Esp. Love the Ford GT block lettering on sides.

Nice pics!! Beautiful car and welcome to forum, you look like a great addition cause as far as I no there are no other crazy snowmobiler's here.

Looks like you know how to outrun the slide!!

Sweet car pretty rare.

Just remember these things slide easy on cold blacktop!!

Thanks for the cool photo's. And get yourself to a Rally!!

Even though Mike may think he was a pest, it really was no problem. I believe a man should have to work for his money and Mike made me earn mine! :)
It truely makes me happy to see the pics he posted and know that he is happy with his car. His car was previously owned by a forum member from our little club here. Glad we kept the car in the family. Mike I hope you can make it to the Rally in October. Would love to meet in person and buy you a beer. Call me whenever you need anything! ;)

Beautiful....welcome to the stripe delete club!:cheers

Hi Mike!

I enjoyed our chat on Friday.... you're going to fit right in here as we all try to provide the right therapy for each other!

Your car looks absolutely great.

Hi Mike,

Are you going to the rally? We just signed up!:cheers

Oh, and I see you have already talked with Kendall, Class act! This GT Forum is unlike any other I have been involved with, The help and generosity of this group of people has been invaluable! :wink

Congrats...no-striper's are the best!
How close are you to Lowry/Cherry Creek, Colorado? Have family and a bunch of friends there. Next visit out, must get in touch for a beer.

Welcome

Mike:

You will totally enjoy the Ford GT. It not just about the car, it is about the people you get to associate with because of mutual ownership and respect for the automobile. My only contact with most of the members of this forum has been though the forum. I am looking forward to meeting them in person at the upcoming Rally in Oct in Austin. Hope you can find time to join us.

Welcome aboard.

Thx all! I won't be able to do the rally this year since I'm a working stiff and already have vac plans this fall for a Vegas/Mesquite golf trip. Next year I'm definitely putting this at the top of my list for places to go and see. Sounds like a blast.

Paul, I am up the mountains west of Boulder near Nederland. As you can tell I'm kind of an amateur photog. Here's a couple pics out my front door looking at the Continental Divide. We had some good storms come through last week and I caught some of the lightening.

Congratulations on the car, great that it's a red one too as it's been scientifically proven etc etc etc :biggrin

The jumps on the snowmobile look completely insane. Go easy with the GT... :cheers
