A fiend of mine wanted a drive in my GT today but he lacks normal hands. Instead he’s got claws apparently. What do you all suggest I do to fix the seat that he tore up? Thanks boys
Ernie

Holy shit what actually did that? A good Upholstery Shop can take the seat apart and replace that panel. We have an amazing place in Mesa AZ called Unique Upholstery that could fix it.

Your friend must be the Marvel superhero, Wolverine.

Good upholstery shop can insert that! The Hawks are moving south!

I’ve been working with Steve Hemstock to reupholster my 2006 Ford GT seat to give me more headroom. He came recommended by a couple of folks on this forum and has experience w Ford GTs.

I should be getting my seat back in a week or so, have had a good experience working w him.

^^^ I had heard he was out of business, used to be calles Knights Autoworks, so some sort of a transition. GREAT news he is still around. Steve did the interiors for all of the GTX1's, as well as many others, so has a lot of experience with these seats.

Ernie Knight does a great job. Also Karl Brauer had seats for sale. Last resort next time you're here we can run to to X2 builders and see what he has.

Steve Hemstock is a great resource and a great guy!

That's very strange!
Does your car sit in the sun a lot on that side?
In reality, does he have a prosthetic limb?

I bought Karl’s seats FYI.

Here’s the rest of the story. My buddy had never been in a GT so he insisted on going for a ride. Since I’m a loyal ford ambassador I obliged but he had had a little too much to drink and instead of reaching for the seatbelt he grabbed the handle booooom. He thought it was funny. He’s a jiu jitsu martial artist which is why I say he’s got talons not hands. Better than having some DB from a car show rip it is what I’m thinking. Can’t stay mad at a friend but had it been some dude he’d get an arrow in the vitals. Lol

Thanks everyone for the input. Spoke to Steve and will be shipping him the seat tomorrow. Got everything disassembled and ready to go. He seems like a super nice guy.

Absolutely but what makes this work is the sense of community and brotherhood we all have. God bless DBK for bringing us together
