Am I right in thinking the floor panels on the Matech cars are flat? - the ones in the road car are dimpled and made from two layers of hydro formed aluminium sheet.

Mine are the stock dimpled floor panels but I think some of the later cars do have flat floor panels .

Also, this car has subtle clues with the attachment of some of the Matech specific parts in the floor area that suggest that the chassis was received by Matech with the production floors in place and the have never been removed until now

I wish I wasn't 3000 miles away because I want to see you beat on it (like it was built for) when you are done.
Hopefully you will get us some video.

Airjack mount? Sounds intriguing. Are you matching original paint codes and how difficult is it?

The x-brace replaces the factory one behind the battery and it doubles as the single front air jack bracket and also ties into the front bumper frame.
I am not matching the original frame paint color that Matech used , trying to use the OEM Ford color instead.

Update on the car , coilovers are at Performance Shock in Sonoma getting rebuilt , ATL is making a new fuel cell and the body shop is working on the body panels this week
Some photos of the mirrors and rear bumper after the body shop prepped and clear coated the carbon pieces

X 2. Awesome project.

Thanks guys , it's taking longer than I expected but we keep finding more things that need repair or replacement .
The body shop that's doing the prep and paint work is getting the parts done at a good pace so we should see some paint on the pieces soon .

really cool! Can't wait to see the GT completed

Remember, RED is THE color.
