Magnetic battery charger

have this on some of the other cars, it is a great way to connect the charger to your car and if you should forget and drive off it simply disconnects without tearing anything apart. also no more opening the back every time you want to connect the charger for 2019 cars and or opening the front with earlier cars.

I found what I suspect would be the cheapest panel on the new gt to put a hole in for the connector. The base attaches near the battery, I chose the front inner wheel liner its thin flexible plastic and it comes out with some plastic push pins. the battery is right on the other side of it under the pass side headlight. two wires to connect and I had to modify the charger cable by cutting off the battery clamps and wire in the new magnetic pigtail.

Kinda like the magnetic charger attachment on older Apple laptops. Good idea. Is the magnetic coupling in that thicker black part about 6" down the pigtail or is it at the port on the fender liner?

right! I remember those, however in this case I wasnt worried about ruining the lines of the truck :)

on the 93 cobra, the 69 boss, and the c4 vette I stuck them all in the fender liner works well there, i might drill a hole in the side of the Lincoln I haven't decided yet... I still have a few more to do, I made a bracket for the boss and used existing hardware to attach it no drilling anywhere. I may do the same thing with the 71 camaro and still deciding where to put the one on the 05 gt probably in the plastic spoiler in the front near the battery somewhere, as gt drummer said every car should have one.

You are not alone on that one! I couldn’t believe I had done it! But the bigger question is did you admit that to your wife?!

I almost ran over my charger yesterday after bringing my GT home from a show! Missed it by 1/2 inch dragging it! Damn!
