Washed, cleaned, belly pans de-graveled & waxed, oil Changed. Stabil in the tank, Battery tender in the power-point. Insurance put in 'storage mode'...car cover goes on tomorrow. Winter will be coming to Michigan soon. ( I know...move to Arizona)

I feel your pain !!!
My condolences!!

belly pans de-graveled & waxed

Is it possible to do this without a lift?

I cannot imagine how you could ever do it. I take my car to Walsh Motorsports near Wixom Mich. (He has an FGT of his own) and he puts it on the lift, takes off the belly pans, changes oil and filter, does a 'nut/bolt' torque check, cleans the belly pans (he waxes the insides - so that the dust and gravel moves off more easily before collecting in his opinion), and reinstalls everything.
His one comment was that this year I did have a lot more sand/gravel than usual ( most likely from all the wet track /road driving in NCarolina and at VIR.

Andy, that is so hard for me to imagine. Good thing there is the Forum for living vicariously until things thaw...

Wow! I can't imagine "putting her away" for the Winter. Let us know when you're moving to AZ. We've got 3 GT owner's on our street now and we're always looking for more to move into the neighborhood!

The summer is too hot & busy. The real driving season is just starting here.

Ed

PS AJB - come to visit!

I am not far behind you.

Yup I will not be far behind, hope to sneak in a few more. I have a lift so do the winter cleanings, during the actual winter. SUCKS, why was I born up here....

too early!!! Not to far from you here in Burlington Ontario. I drive her until either snow or salt is about to go on the road. Just need to be more careful in the cooler mornings and evenings.

Year round sophistication.

(I know...move to Arizona)

During the summers here I don't get the GT out very often because it's too hot. October to April is driving season in AZ. At least during our summers there is no salt on the roads and I can still take the GT out for an air conditioned trek to visit some of the finer establishments in northern Arizona.

same here!

Ed I like your new avatar!

Thanks Soroush. Missed you at the Rally. I know Utah will be doable for you & your over-the-top GT!

Ed

PS Shaken, not stirred. And with a twist!

Chip - that kind of looks like Texas, rather than Arizona! If that is the joint in Flagstaff...I'm darn glad I've never tried finding that place. I like my women curvy, but the one on top of the sign looks too big and stout for my taste.

We saw that sign and had to stop for a photo. It's in Star Valley just east of Pason, AZ.

Hey ...........who are you and where did you come from?

Do you own a GT? Neighbor !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

By this time last year in Nebraska we had 6 inches of frozen rain and snow on the ground not to mention all the salt and gravel put down by the city and state department.
We went 6 months without seeing the ground and there were still piles of snow melting off the parking lots where it was piled up in April.
However I still find ways to enjoy the car, Summer is for driving and winter is for doing modifications.

Last Ride of the Year

Started my last ride today - left Woodhaven, MI (South of Dearborn), and began the long trip home. Got to Aurora, IL, today, as I'm stopping to have dinner with a long time friend from high school. 1,900 miles to go....
