I have been waiting what seems like forever for the new motor, and just got mine this week. It's a Molten Orange, two-tone interior, few options. I love the truck! It is very comfortable and plush inside. It's great to live in the Sonoran desert and have something designed specifically to drive here!

Hey, see if you can pick up a few pretzels, I mean snakes, for Chip on one of your wanderings.

I told Garrett we need to organize a Raptor rally. I'll work with Team Jeff and AZStad on a Sonoran run, we're in for Nevado too!!!

Nice rig Tim. How does it ride?

It rides great, and the motor is strong in terms of torque. The highway ride is much like my Rolls Royce Phantom (seriously!). Off road you can push it hard and it just floats over the bumps. In fact, funny story about the ride. We shopped earlier in the day, and I had a bag of new martini glasses on the back seat. We hit about 50 on the trails and bounced over many a bump. The glasses never moved from their place on the seat! A great testament to the the ride. Today Garrett unhooked the connector pipe behind the exhaust to see what it would sound like without the mufflers and only the cats. It sounded SO GOOD!!! We plan to install a cut-out and use one of the auxilliary switches to cut out the mufflers off-road. What a sound the 6.2 liter makes without mufflers!

waiting

Tim,

Thanks for this thread.
We are waiting for our M.O. 6.2 to arrive.
(all options except moonroof and graphics)
Scheduled to be built week of 5/3.

I already have the Ford racing light bar and 6" lights along with a bed rug sitting in the garage.

I'm still mystified that apparently the suspension engineers pulled off the best of both worlds in the Raptor.

Everyone says the on road ride is very nice, and of course, off road, it is amazing.

Congratulations Tim, what a machine! :cheers

All this off road talk is getting me fired up for my mid June off road excursion out of Ensenada with the outfit "Wide Open Baja". If you guys have ever wanted to drive a true off road race car without having to buy or build your own, you need to check out Wide Open Baja and their website. This will be my fourth trip with them.
