Great time with some great people!

I have some pretty cool video from this trip too... I'll have to clip it up and post it!

Looks great, ball park figure for total price? Interested in getting one.

I paid $42,885 for mine. I like the way it is equipped. Stereo is great (base unit with Sirius). It has everything I need.

Does anyone have any real world observed MPG with the 6.2 motor? I know this may seem like a silly question for these trucks, but a buddy of mine is shopping between this truck and a Dodge PowerWagon. I'm really trying to get him to go with the Ford but he says the only deciding factor now is MPG and he hasn't seen any real world data on the Ford 6.2 yet. I can't imagine that there would be any huge difference in these trucks but to him it is important.

I was looking at your pictures thinking that guy has great taste!

Tim your Raptor looks exactly like mine. I decided not to go with the decal and am happy with my 5.4L engine.

CH53Driver - what does he want the truck for? The PowerWagon & Raptor are totally different. The Raptor can do it all but it's forte is very high speed travel over the roughest terrain. My guess would be around 12 mpg average for the 6.2 Raptor.

Ed that is what I get on my Raptor(5.4 L) I average about 11.8 every week, that is city driving and a little play driving.

Well, to give you an idea Ed he is a huge off-road guy (he has three jeeps one being a Rubicon). With that being said, he thinks down the road he may be towing a boat and that is the one turn-off about the Raptor; that it's towing rating was rather low compared to other trucks like the PowerWagon. The PowerWagon has good off-road features too but obviously it wouldn't hold up to the Raptor so there is some trade-off between the two. I think really he's just being nit-picky at this point but I told him that I knew some guys on here had recently got 6.2s and he was wondering what kind of MPG they were getting real world. I hope that helps answer the question. I've already told him to man up and get the Raptor on multiple occasions! :cheers

CH53 Driver - he'll get more girls with the Raptor!

PS Triheart - you must be on the gas a lot more as I am getting 13 mpg average with my 5.4L.

CH53 driver, Ed is correct, more chicks with the Raptor! Actually, quite a lot of people give me :thumbsup with the raptor.

My latest check I am at 12 MPG, so less stomping the gas this week.

I only have about 400 miles on my 6.2, and much has been off-road. Not sure yet what reality is. I'll track it.

Congrats, great truck. A bit thirsty but other than that it rides like a dream, it turns very tight too for a truck.
