I had a minor accident with my 2005 and now Ford is looking for this part. I was hoping someone here might have a hidden source. They say it maybe not available from ford.

Mr. Boatner,
The part number for the right steering knuckle is
4G7Z3K185RH
Let me know if you find anything.

Any help would be appreciated, I may even have to look at used.

Might I suggest calling Torrie.

Jax,

We have, that was almost the first call after the accident. He is working on this also and I just thought maybe someone knows the number of someone who has one of these hidden in a back room under the desk, behind the bookshelf.:lol:lol:lol

Larry

Torrie is always my first GT call.

I tried Larry and could not find one within my reach.

Torrie,

Thanks, The dealer had told me already and as always I appreciate your efforts. Just called Andy in Lufkin and he is checking and am trying all sources. I think they are quoting a 3 month back order from Ford. Do not want my car down that long. Rick at Tomball Ford alluded to buying the entire front assy. if they couldn't find just the knuckle.

Not sure if he will have any different luck, but the parts expert at my local Ford dealer is very helpful, a big GT fan and a really nice guy.

Tuggy, call X2 Collision in Maryvill, IL (near St. Louis). Scott Jennings is parting out several cars. Talk to Larry. Phone 618-344-9922, tell them Dr. Pikul sent you. I will be home this weekend and can look at parts if necessary. I am PMing my cell phone.

Tugboat, you do not have PM's turned on.

Frank,

PM's hopefully turned on and have just called Scott per your post. The lady answering the phone said he was in a meeting and will have to call me back. Left work and cell numbers.

Thankyou a ton!!!!

Won't that make the part cost more if he admitted knowing you???

Ahh this is what prompted the call from my guy here in Dallas that does the GT parts for me. He said there are 0 out there and wasn't gettinga quote for time.

Right now I think a piece from a salvaged GT is probably the only solution. I was told that the A-Arm was out of stock but it must have been the steering knuckle.

Good Luck.

Hey,

Insurance company is paying the cost so do not pick on Frank, Even tho white/blue is faster (at least while sliding backwards into a ditch). If Frank can help me get my car running sooner I will be a RED fan for a few days!:wink:wink:wink

Larry

If all else fails contact John Hennessey, they MIGHT have that part somewhere.

Thanks Jason,

E-Mail sent to John!!!!

You also might try the GT Guys.

Part

You also might try the GT Guys.

Our last one is already spoken for and we too have a few on backorder with no promise date.

I assume you tried these guys for a used one? I know Frank has referenced them in the past. They have has a TON of salvage parts / cars etc on ebay. (I have no experience with them)

Thanks, I have tried X2 yesterday!!! This must be a part that is used often in repairs. Theirs, as with several other sources, has been used or spoken for.

Rich, this is the answer I recieved from the Ford Dealership yesterday, What do you think? They blowing smoke up my "TAIL PIPE"?:frown

"Ford has found one and special ordered it to be here next wednesday"

That is from the parts manager. I think he maybe just pulling my chain to get me off his back.

Ford OEM Supplier has stock available and parts are being shipped to FCSD packager. Order the part through your local Ford-Lincoln-Mercury dealer and he will place an order and be the first to receive one in a couple of days. Jerry LeBoeuf, Ford Customer Service Division Purchasing Buyer.
