Last weekend, we took Ray's (Peak Completion's) Heffner TT-GT,as well as my TT-Viper to the Texas Mile. It wound up being one hell of a good time and I thought it would make for a cool story to share, so I decided to build a web page that outlines our efforts.

Here is the teaser video:

Thanks Gary for putting all the vids and pics together Bud! They are awesome!

Thanks to Jason for building me the best car ever!

Gary is honestly the best driver I have ever seen and is one of a very small group of people (3) that I trust with my cars... Thanks!

Jason and Gary, you have truly turned into great friends!

Look forward to the next one :biggrin

Great video!

For reference, a stock GT will do the mile at about 170mph. The highest I've ever seen is 174, and you've got to have decent weather for that. This car in the Texas heat put 50mph on what a stock GT will do in a mile :lol

I know alot of people had been talking smack saying the GT would never compete with the big power Vipers because of the displacement of the motor, but the 5.4 with an otherwise stock motor and turbos laid down one of the fastest standing miles ever. No crazy aero mods, no stripped out interior, no iron block, no crazy idle...and believe me, when the weather is good, that thing is going to raise the bar to another level.

Gary is a hell of a driver (one of the best I've ever seen, who has absolutely laid waste to other supposed "pros"), Heffner builds a hell of a car, and Ray is the man for setting his GT's loose to shine the spotlight on what killer cars these are. Not many cars where you could change the disc in the CD player at 220+.

What's next? :cheers

Looks like fun!! Great production !!

Hey Gary, I added the video to YouTube if you don't want your bandwidth assaulted.

Gary, et al - nice job.

Loved the ending!

Awesome write up Gary ! Too big thumbs up to both you / Ray / Jason on accomplishing this feat !!!!!

It's cool that David Weaver pitched in. He is a local hero. He mans the dyno and tuning for Dodge and Ford SVT stuff if you beg enough.

I enjoyed the write-up and the videos; thank you

Hey guys, just a visitor here! I fell in love with Ray's GT-TT after seeing it at the TX Mile. Yellow/Black with black wheels looks killer!

CONGRATS to Ray, Gary and Jason Heffner for their incredible performance at the Mile. As the organizer of TX2K8 in TX every March, I plan on adding the standing mile to my event list (along with road racing, dyno day, car show, 60-130 and drag racing) and would love to have more GT's in attendance.
