So how many Rally guys are intending to kart at VIR? I have never been in a kart, but this looks like a great way to have a tremendous amount of fun without bending some VERY expensive sheet metal and incurring the wrath of Shadowman. Since most of us will want all our seat time to be in our FGT's all day Wed & Thur, should Friday be designated kart day?

I'd appreciate others confirming Friday as best day for karting day since I'm negotiating how time will be spent with wifey.

C'mon, there have to be some other guys that are interested in trading paint, uh.., rubber, on the kart track.

If we can arrange it so it doesn't conflict with GT track time, I'm in.

That's why Friday seems like a good day to kart.

Friday sounds good to me. Do we have to install little, tiny fire extinguishers?

I've checked with the guys that run the kart track and they've opined that a coupla diet sodas onboard in your bladder should suffice for putting things aright should a fire break out. They seem to think the quick discharge will auto-activate.

Great! One cup of coffee should do it for me.

I thought that the Kart Track was a planned portion of the activities?

All the best

Yes - I want to Kart too...as does my wife..she is bringing her motorcycle helmet.
I was under the impression that it was part of the activities too ...her comment was "finaly I get to drive
something more that the F-150 Truck at a FGT Rally"

Hope there is a planned event, but couldn't find any stated time/date in the posted agenda. So I took the liberty of suggesting Friday since I've a feeling Wed & Thur may prove to be very full days with all puppies worn out at quittin' time. And I wouldn't want to cut into anyone's imbibitional time.

The Kart track will be open all day on BOTH Wednesday and Thursday. I plan on getting in as much karting as possible. Karting is too much fun, and as mentioned, it won't result in a broken GT if you get too excited out there.

V.I.R is a HUGE track. There will be more than enough time for everyone to run their GT's over the course of two days, including guys more interested in putzing around at 40% just to say they've done it. Figure on run groups of 15-20 on a nearly 4 mile course, and you'll have plenty of room to run, and plenty of time to get in from one session to the next. There will also be more than enough time to get in copious quantities of karting. Our guest list looks big, but trust me, in the confines of V.I.R, it's gonna look like a small group.

I will say this though, unless someone breaks Jason Heffner's kneecaps, we're all screwed on the kart track.

Monica & I are very interested in this also since we won't have our GT with us! I've already talked to Tanya Harding's contact and he is having a special on kneecaps... :biggrin.
