Well she's on,,,, Yes I did the Whipple - a Gen 1 from Jason Heffner. Had it running last night for a great cruise.

Installed it myself.... Biggest problem was the belt, first getting hte right one then second what has to be done to get to the SC belt - first the oil cover and Belt, then the accessory belt then FINALLY the SC Belt.

After firing her up - I found out the pulley was bent - Damn UPS guys... and I can say you can change the pulley without removing the SC itself and it is a challenge! What ever you do - don't drop the screws as it will probably fall behind the water pump.... BTW they are M6x1.0 pitch, 12 MM long cap screw:bored

How do you heat cycle the tires in your SUV? I don't think backing it out into the sun and then pulling back into the garage several times will do it.:lol

TOO Cool !!!!

Thank you for letting me be a small part of your project. I enjoyed the chat and am very happy for you.

Have fun and be safe getting to know her all over again.

Takes care

Going to a Whipple is often the first sign of what's referred to as "Onefootitis" in the boating world. We'll know if you have "boostitis" in about a month or so. (We'll be able to tell if yewz gots it 'cause IF yewz gots it - you'll be contacting Heffner about a pair of hair dryers!)

One guy in Charlotte who does NASCAR tires told me to find a tobacco barn which have all been tore down around here. The second option he said was to build a tin shed.... If I did the Associations NA$I's of my neighborhood would go crazy so the third best option was to put them in my Black SUV and park in the sun where it get to 140f+ inside on a 100f day.... Don't know if it will work but it was worth a try and the SUV has a "different" car smell now

Thank god for covered parking garages out here.....
