Congratulations Brisco & Ginassi & FORD, kicked Corvette Ass. Was there a Ferarri in the race? He finished so back it was hard to see him. I guess in the next race the Ford GT's will be pulling a trailer to slow them down.

The cars are really, really close in performance. You can not like BOP - and I don't - but it does tend to equalize. I wonder what the extra burden will be this race? Watching TV coverage and IMSA in-car at the same time. Pretty cool. There actually seems to be a tiny delay between the two, but it's great to see the #66 working away, and seeing the big picture as well.

Awesome! Nice win!
I was late to watch but it looks like the Corvettes were tightening up to make a run at 1st just before the caution to end it. Corvettes are still 1st and 2nd in standings but the GT's are only 8 points behind.

Briscoe and Westbrook Do It Again in the #67 Ford GT
The #67 driven by Briscoe and Westbrook made it four in a row for the Ford GT Racers finishing first in the GTLM Class at today's Mobil 1 SportsCar Grand Prix held at Motorsport Park in Ontario, Canada. The NFGT beat the #2 Corvette C7-R.
The #66 Ford GT of Joey Hand and Dirk Mueller finished 5th in class. Unofficial results are in the link below. Congrats again to the Ford Gnassi Team.

Tommy, I tend to agree with fordification above. We did win today YEA, but with the BOP penalties on the FGT and the reduced weight and added power to the Corvette, they were quite competitive. Both the #3 and #4 Corvettes did run a good race. Just glad we were ahead at the checker. That is now 4 in a row of 1st place finishes for the GT. Awesome for the Ford teams!!
Next they move on to Limerock, Rocketman's home track. Ron, you will have to cheer them on by your attendance!:biggrin

I drove up yesterday, walked the track with shesgotlegs. I thought they were toast with the BoP adjustments but craftiness got the win.

Had to be creative and take a chance for the win. It worked. The BoP is working, wonder if we will get anything back for LRP. The pit strategy that was with the rest of the field, yielded 5th. Clearly the car was not as dominant as WGI.
Our family will be at LRP. Track is only 1.5miles, and from the "hill" you can see, about half the track, and only a short walk to the backside. It's an intimate track. But don't be fooled, it's fast as hell.

Agree with most of the sentiment above. Brilliant Pit strategy is what won for the GT yesterday. We'll take it anyway we can get it with all the BOP restrictions. End of the race comments by the Vette team were awesome. They still couldn't get their head around the fact that they lost. They were dumbstruck.

Actually I think it is 6 hours...A full festival environment will complement the weekend’s racing with Austin’s famous food trucks, entertainment for the whole family, live music, and a fireworks display during WEC’s 6-hour race.
Not sure why they say the 24 hour le mans at Cota... but then say the race is 6 hours... guessing they have many other races that weekend that total 24 hours
