For the Raptor fans

Is there any spray to get rid of mother-in-law stink in your car?

Ed

PS I might be joking.

I have no need for same. And I'm NOT joking! :biggrin

Raptor sightings

I was wondering if anyone on the site owns an Orange (with decal) Raptor. I saw one traveling East on Interstate 80, last Saturday morning near Sacramento. I was driving the opposite direction thinking, there is my truck! Then I noticed the decals(mine is missing decals).

Also, wondering, Ed Sims how your trip to Monterey went?

Monterey in a Raptor

Monterey was great. The weather was fabulous. I so wanted to take the Raptor out for a quick spin on the beach! Here is a photo of my Raptor there.

Ed, I don't see any beach, just a car port.

Take a look at the video on this link, that is how you should be driving the Raptor. Jamal is in the video.

It is going to be hard to prevent door dings with the Raptor! It is wide!

So far this is not a problem. I find it has a tighter turning radius than my last F150, so parking is easier. Doors are up higher, so I hope not much of an issue with dings!

This is my 999th post!!!!

Great photos Ed. Keep them coming! I like what you did with your hood.

Ed in Monterey with the Raptor

Syco - Thanks. It's a cool truck. Not as many looks or thumbs up than with the GT but more than my Lariat! Come test drive it!

Black Ice - The grass car port is looking toward the east. Here is the photo looking west!'

I just parked it next to my GT, but I am wondering, how can you tell if it's a 6.2L or 5.4L:

difference between 5.4 & 6.2L engines

Syco - yes, that's the Raptor with the 6.2L engine. It's heavier than the 5.4 so the truck can sit the way it is without falling backwards. There's no way it would sit like that with the lighter 5.4.

I remember seeing them test the raptor in Ocotillo Wells years ago.

That thing was going pretty quick, although I passed it :biggrin

Raptor in the Desert

I finally was able to spend a day in the desert with my Raptor. I drove it on the flat dirt roads & whooped out trails in the Smith Valley of Nevada yesterday. One word - unbelievable! I driven almost everything with 2 or 4 wheels in the desert & the Raptor is crazy. It's as close to the SCORE class I Lexus powered desert open wheeler that I've driven (for a street legal vehicle). Here are a few photos. It's difficult to see the whoops in the photos.

Also, there was a lot of room out there but we caught up to every type of off-road vehicle & blew by them like they were standing still. This truck is crazy fast in the rough. Wow!

You must of had a great time. Now don't tell me you only dry wash the Raptor?

Huuum...... knowing our friend Ed I would not be surprised to see him with numerous spray bottles and a stack of rags.

Regardless I am sure that she will once again appear as new; I will see him and the Raptor tomorrow so I will look closely

No need for Ed to wash it, it almost looks silver in the side profile photo
